Just noticed on Twitter that these are doing an outdoor gig in the car park/beer garden of a pub in Ellesmere Port, on the Mersey docks. Given we have had no live music at all round here for months I reckon it’s gonna be rammed (within social distancing rules obviously).

Yeah the horse an jockey, they got closed down last week for something similar and so did another pub called the Travs. Iam not going out to any pubs in Ellesmere port, I've been to a few country pubs instead with their own campsites ... Much quieter 👍🍺🍺🍺

Or meet up next year and bring a fruity for by your tent 😀

Unfortunately it is highly unlikely that I will be attending the festival next year. I may enter the competitions that may occur ahead of it, but am not sure.

Do you know your dancing that you were on about? Well, if you combined that with my fruit machine dancing, then even that wouldn't come close to this bloke. I present to you - The Master;

Fuck knows. I went, but I've had the good grace to feel guilty about it. I'm not sure that shame has an anti-viral effect though.

Neither have I ...  I think we have permission now :)

I haven’t really had a need to. I live in London and it’s much better to take some drinks to a park. Would rather that than sit indoors or an overcrowded beer garden.

I was in another pub last night. This place was taking precautions very seriously. They had set up their own website so you could order drinks from your phone, lots of signage everywhere. Plenty of hand sanitiser around and they even left cleaning equipment in convenient locations in case you felt the need to wipe down any surfaces.

Even when this pandemic ends I’m hoping a lot of the bars keep the technological aspects of covid secure socialising.

They'll encourage it for data harvesting!

I tell you what, it was much less hassle being able to order from my phone without queuing up.

Went to Grub in Manchester and had my first drink (just a half as I had to drive).

loved it but it was outside and really well run. Felt relaxed, new outside bit looks great as well.

Been wanting to go there for awhile now, as looks good and with it having covered outdoor areas thought I might dip my toe in going out by going there

Apparently they are part of the eat out to help out scheme in august too :)

What's the beer selection like?

I drove through the town centre last night and the amount of people queuing to get into weatherspoons was immense, no social distancing going on and all bunched up shouting and singing! Surely in this situation they should mandate mask wearing

I wouldn’t feel guilty about it. This year is hard enough, without feeling guilty for trying to find some pleasant experiences.
It sounds like you followed the rules and tried to keep others safe, so I think that deserves a beer or two 🍺

I only had one beer, but I did start a sanctimonious thread, so it probably levels out...
