Was interested by Kaiser Chiefs at the MK Bowl but it sold out... might go sit in a nearby park and see what notes waft out. Seems to be the usual tradition for gigs there

anyone know rough prices for this? cant seem to find anything for the streets

Tixs start at £65 for a car with 2 people in it and then it increases based on the amount of people in the car by about £30 each. It may be different based on the artist/location though.

In the T&C's they say you can only bring in small bottles and no alcohol? Not sure if its a copy and paste from festival T&Cs, as surely thats unenforcable with cars

Streets tickets were £107 inc fees and £150 for VIP front row. As its a drive in I couldnt care less about front row.

It may just be a condition from the councils, to a degree it makes sense since people are driving but I doubt they will it enforce as there's too many cars and it will create congestion.

They are adding more dates and artists now, KT Tunstall, M Huncho, Reef and a few others.

Also the London location is Colesdale Farm which isn't in London, fuck sake.

I’m really giving some thought to getting tickets for The Streets at Leeds Airport. Even if it’s not a regular thing, it’ll be a unique experience to say you’ve been to one.

*edit*

I have just bought tickets.

I was thinking the same of just going for the experience of a drive in gig at least but I decided not to in the end.

Skindred were the ones I wanted to see the most but aren’t doing a London show, my missus won’t see Streets again as he was shit last time we saw him and there’s a few others like Dizzee Rascal and KT Tunstall who could be fun but we aren’t fussed enough to actually see again.

Just had an email that my Cream MK at the drive in is cancelled. Sounds like the whole series is cancelled. They blame localised lockdown developments.

Anyone else heard anything?

That reason is bullshit, my guess is that it didn't sell well enough or they only sold 2/3 person tickets when they expected to sell more 4/5/6 person tickets.

I thought it may have been a sales thing. The excuse doesn't ring true. Maybe people dont have the appetite for live music lite. Live nation saying it wasnt about making money seemed an odd statement

Nah, people can travel from localised lockdowns to these events which could spread the virus though they could enforce staying in the car. I dont think its sales but it well could be.

Do we reckon the Newcastle Unity, social distanced one will happen, I booked Libertines, God this is shit.

All 561 events are cancelled.

Not sure the reason is bullshit, the whole series probably becomes financially unviable if one location gets shut down.

Just speculating but I'm not sure it was selling badly as they were adding more artists and dates. If the early sales looked liked there wasn't an audience for this type of gig then I'd imagine they wouldn't have been adding more to it.

Probably something to do with insurance not covering local lockdowns or backing out. If that is the case and one site fell into an area under local lockdown they would’ve had to refund thousands of tickets for that one location, probably bankrupting the whole organisation.
