Sorry i didn’t get back last night, Mrs D was not feeling to well, and went downhill from there, we ended up in A&E at 4 am 😞

shes still in and they are running tests , but something is not rite , luckily she had the jab in early Dec , so it should not be corona related.

I will jump on tonight if Mrs D is still in the hotel’del’southmead .

Big D

Hope she gets better soon Big D

After today I’m taking a break from alcohol for a while. Not because of the hangover either. I’m not that much of a lightweight 😂

In my experience, I usually reach the classic tipping point from 'I'm never drinking again' to 'ooh, I quite fancy a pint' at about 3pm...

Hope things improve! Do you live in Bristol then mate? I grew up pretty near Southmead (lucky me!).

I shall be having a beer with the footy in a couple of hours but got other reasons to be off the beer for a while. Can’t go into too much detail yet as I don’t know that much myself but I’ve just been booked in for pre surgery tests to sort the old noggin out.

All the best with that - and will also be watching the Leeds match (may have a glass too). It’s only Brighton - surely a win is in the 💼!

    • Yep, honestly this seems like the most likely option right now.
    • Agree. Also there was a lot more crossing over between stages. I know they need to put the cure, the xx and Gorillaz on the main stages but if they could have put your Blood Orange, Big Thief, Baxter Dury on Cupra and Occident with Jade and Pinkpantheress on the main stages, it would have been a massive improvement.
    • 100% THIS! I haven't quite been able to put my finger on it, but I think you've just nailed why I didn't enjoy this year as much as usual. In last years edition, the likes of Slowdive or Big Thief would have had evening slots at Cupra or Occident, instead of being shoved on to the main stages during the day. Apart from the very biggest acts (ie The Cure, the pop headliners), most performances at Mordor just lack that special "wow, I'm so lucky to be here" feeling that I remember from the Jesus Lizard and Anhoni sets that you've mentioned.  Sidenote: I wonder if there's a decent chunk of ticket holders that gravitate towards Mordor simply because it's the biggest stage, without really caring who's playing at that time, thus the increased (and incredibly noticeable) yapping.
