I don't think it's racist as generally speaking it applies to a subset of people who hold certain views. I'm white and I am pretty sure he wouldn't be calling me gammon because I don't have those views. It's not the colour of your skins but rather the narrow world view.

Oh, and as someone pointed something out, I do oppose Feminism. It's been garbage since the end of the 80s and almost comp pointless. 

You do not have to be a BLM supporter to oppose racism. Case in point, anyone who says "gammon" is probably also a BLM supporter. Apparently racism against white people is okay. 

You do not have to be a Feminist to fight for equality for women. Which in the UK and USA they do have btw.

Captalism? You mean the system that's far better than any other. Even Denmark had to correct everyone that they were "socialist".

If these people were "brave" they would go after places that actually have modern day slavery. Saudi Arabia, China, most of the Middle East actually. They're just communists using racism as a stick to beat people with. And they're so OPEN about it. They literally telling people that's what they're doing, and everyone just tweets out the hashtag and keep their heads in the sand.

Its not the biggest threat, but its definitely a threat. The main reason people wanted to leave the EU is because they dont want any foreign people coming in (and especially not POC). Sure Saudi Arabia/China etc. are worse, but just because we arent the worst country at something doesnt mean we dont have any room for improvement. Plus its a lot easier for us to make change locally than overseas, dont think a protest here is going to topple the CCP.

Plus, China + Saudi are weird places to pick considering the fairly regular outrage over here at the stuff they do (Kashoggi, Yemen, Uighurs, Hong Kong all made/make the news and effect policy e.g. passports for hongkongers, weapon sales to saudi etc.)

A lot of people think they don't like the word feminist and try to say they are not but a person who fights for equality between the sexes is a feminist whether they identify as such or not just as a person who says 'I'm not a racist but' generally actually is a racist regardless of what they say. 

There's s big difference between words and actions I would rather someone say they are not a feminist and actually be working hard to fight for equality between the sexes. In the same way I would rather someone say they are racist but are actively trying not to be.

Agreed, BLM the charity from what I understand isnt really that great at all and hasn't been the most effective with their money (compared to other anti-racism based organisations). However, I would say the BLM movement is the same as opposing racism. Unless you oppose racism but dont think black lives matter?

And not all white people are gammn, you know that... Its not something you are born into that effects your pay, opportunities and life worth. It is a term used to degrade people of a certain political leaning (which I agree shouldnt really be used, its as annoying as snowflake for left wing people. However, "gammon" tend not to be like being named far right either...)

I worked in Stoke Newington and we had this old gezzer come in everyday and made us tea.. Anyway 90% of our customers were black and top of the range but alot of the younger blokes would shout out to this old gezzer.. Oi coconut what you doing in there. 

So who were the racists there.. Bless when he died he had the horses pulling him and the lot.. The whole street stopped as he past.. And it's a fuck long street..

I agree, and it is a case like everything at present it is good to talk and explain and then people can see why. It is what we all have to do, less fear of saying things and then we can learn or teach,.and move in one direction

However, he is the Foreign secretary, deputy Prime minister, a diplomat of sorts. Let's face it he should have know better to get an understanding before opening his big mouth

They're both black. That seems to matter for a lot of identity politics supporters, so now you can't call them racist. Unless you want to call them Uncle Toms, Coconuts, Choc Ices etc which Democrats often do.

If you must and keep up the stellar argumentation (with STILL NO EVIDENCE to support systemic racism OR police brutality), I'm sure it's why Labour and the Lib Dems did SO well at the last elections and why Keir Starmer is losing polling points on Bojo even though the Tories have massively fucked up their pandemic response. Some of you unfortunately cannot see the wood from the trees.
