The 2020 Hurt/Heal Game

Fuck it, we’re doing it this year. It’ll be interesting to see how this compares to next year if the lineups are broadly similar. 

We know enough of the lineup to have a fairly decent stab at the placings. As the Sunday Pyramid sub remains a mystery I’ve decided that Aerosmith will take that slot. I know they were due for the Saturday but I feel they are big enough to be included. All other places are best estimates but my game, my rules. Speaking of which...

The Rules:

Most of you have played before but if you haven’t...

1. Below is a list of all headliners and subs for the main stages, plus the legend. All acts start on 50 points.

2. Each poster has ten points per day to spend either giving to acts or taking away. You can split between acts or you whack them all on one. Entirely up to you.

3. One set of points per day!

4. These things have a habit of getting a bit muddled. If anyone spots any errors please do not try to correct yourself. Just @ me and I will fix. It’s easier to keep on track with one person administering than 50 trying to do it themselves.

5. Each day I’ll post a tribute to those we have lost...

6. Judge’s decision is final. Problem? Then tough.

Favourites: Taylor Swift is the current market leader, she has large following on here and is expected to lead. You can never discount a Beatle, so expect a strong showing from Paul McCartney. Likewise any Thom Yorke project will always be backed well on eFests...

First to fall: His brother went early last year and it’s hard not see Noel Gallagher suffering the same fate. Despite being a perennial festival favourite Fatboy Slim must be seen as a waste of a headline slot and the voters may turn against him. Jarvis Cocker’s new project may have alienated voters.

Dark Horses: Laura Marling has a small but very dedicated eFests following, if they unite behind her she could go far. Likewise Charli XCX.
