She was one of the acts we were really desperate to see in 16 and she didn’t disappoint! Just watched it again, you can see her looking at the sky , smiling, and saying twisted twisted people have the right to the sun! The whole crowd reacted. That festival has a really special place in my memories and it all started with Christine. The weather was obviously crap and the Thursday was a challenge, but Chris was so great and the whole weekend just took off from there. It was a moment of just saying "fuck the weather, let's just have the best time". Perfectly set the tone for the festival.

blutarsky
Last year I emerged from the pyramid cut through right into the think of the Other crowd as the beat dropped on Hey Boy, Hey Girl by the Chems. Magical moment. Has to be on there for me.
maelzoid
From a quarter century of glastonburys, these ones always take me back. A lot of those I might have suggested have been added already, so this is chronologically patchy, but it's all good. Robert Plant (or Led Zeppelin) - What is and what should never be Hothouse Flowers - I can see clearly Barenaked Ladies - Brian Wilson RATM - Take the power back Lenny Kravitz - Are you gonna go my way? Senser - Age of Panic Blur - Bank Holiday and/or Jubilee (specifically this is fondly remembered form their evening slot on the other in '94. This set never gets the recognition that '98 or '09 get, but it was a lovely summer evening with a band on the up proving there were bigger things to come). Oasis - Acquiesce (specifically remembered from their '95 set) Foo Fighters - My Hero (from the muck and mire of '98) TV on the Radio - Young Liars Reef - Consideration Chvrches - Clearest Blue Coldplay - Up & Up Chic - Good Times Edited May 27, 2020 by maelzoid

vintagelaureate
An odd one for me as it's not an artist I usually listen to but it's a song I associate with Glastonbury: Lorde - Green Light
deebeedoobee
Songs I hear around the site every year: Fat Boy Slim - Praise You Faithless - insomnia Bob Marley - Three Little Birds
maelzoid
I knew I'd forget at least one, but you gotta include Super Furry Animals - The Man Don't Give a Fuck. Brilliant in 2015 when I saw them. But apparently in 1999 someone drove a van into the audience (not in a terrorist way.... no one got hurt).
DaveyGee
Missed them in 2015, not sure which stage I was at. Would have loved to see them 😄 Thank you for the suggestion as I forgot!

Robinn
Maybe not the most popular choices, but since they were used in BBC Best Bits compilations, these songs take me back to the fields: Dizzee Rascal & Florence and the Machine - You Got The Dirtee Love Dolly Parton - Here We Go Again Also, any song that Elbow played during their 2011 Pyramid set.
