Not made it into any papers but I do have a story from The Brit Awards probably around 10 years ago no. I think I've told this story on here before but...

My team won an all expenses paid trip to go... sat fairly near the front (over the barrier was where all the celebrities were sat.) When the event finished one of my teammates tried to jump the barrier but got caught and escorted out by security. Myself, two friends and MANAGER were all quite drunk and noticed that there was now  gap in security watching the barriers. A quick hop over the barrier, over the camera run and another barrier and we were in. We managed to speak to a load of your typical Brit Awards celebrities (Olly Murs, Caroline Flack, Emma Willis, Paddy McGuinness, Keith Lemon are the ones I remember - so use the term celebrity fairly loosely here). We spotted Rihanna and tried heading over that way but security clocked on. To be fair they were sound and said they knew what we had done but were causing no problems so they left us to it but that Rihanna was probably a step too far :D

They directed us towards the exit but what they didn't realise is the exit they sent us to was the one all the celebrities were using so we got to walk out the red carpet! So the press are there taking everyones pictures, including ours... I love the thought that back in the office the next day everyone was probably trying to figure out "who are these people?"

Finally - we got to the "fans" section of the walk out, some hanging around outside and a group of teenage girls asked us who we were and if we could sign their books. At the time Mumford and Sons were very new so nobody really knew what they looked like. I said we were Mumford and Sons, we signed their books and left. Somewhere, someone has my signature thinking I'm a Mumford or a Son :D

Pretty sure our pictures wouldn't have made it into any papers though.

Preston from the Ordinary Boys tried to give me a detention in high school because I asked him to play a good song while he was doing a set for our music lesson.

And I saw Johnny Marr walking down Deansgate eating a packed of crisps.

I saw Mani coming out of Stockport train station.

I haven't but the back of my husband made the front page of NME re Glastonbury 2007 showing the muddy Pyramid field, he's hard not to miss 6ft 4" wearing an ill fitting bucket hat in shorts with wellies and covered in mud😂 I'm 5ft 3" so it's easy for me to blend into the crowd sadly our copy was lost in our house fire in 2018 we thought it would be safe in our loft with our other valuables plus all our Glasto gear including numerous travel johns 😰

I've made it into our local paper a few times for my drama days at school and appeared on Songs of Praise and mimed in our school choir.... can't sing and they stood me near a microphone!

Plus I'm sure I've been in various episodes of Bergerac when they filmed here in Jersey when Nettles was a hottie and Jersey had a tourism industry

Could be just me I appreciate but I think things like that are actually one of the things I'd hate. You'd always be wondering is it just because I am famous or did they like me to begin with. Even with just riches that must be a concern. Do people like you for you or just because of what you have?  Luckily I am neither rich nor famous I don't have such concerns.

I’m in this.....

Filmed at Cheltenham Town Hall 90/91.

Also my sister often played classical guitar duets on stage with their guitarist Ian Dench. He was absolutely fantastic at it and I was gobsmacked when I first heard him in EMF as realistically he uses a tiny fraction of his talents.

Way cooler though. 😎

I was, for one day only on/in nearly every TV/Radio/Newspaper around the world.

On a BA flight and they announced it was about to "make a forced landing at sea". First time the recording played we kind of ignored it (transatlantic flight), 2nd time around people got proper scared, 3rd time and life jackets were being put on (they are near impossible to grab from under you seat btw). They then said it was a false alarm, no apology, they then asked if a doctor was on board (a few passengers had really panicked and were unwell). After a while, the pilot came on the tannoy  with a light hearted "I hear there was an alert played, well there's nothing wrong, we're not even over the sea".

Note that people were well and truly upset. I asked the steward if the captain might want to apologise. Nope. When we landed, I again asked if we could have an apology - nothing. So, I released a press release to Associated Press. With my then famous "To be told you're about to die is not a pleasant experience". Well, flip. That wasn't wise.

About an hour later the phone started to ring - the first (since it was about 10pm) was R4 booking a morning interview, then the Ross and Dean show in Australia, then USA Today. Film crews turned up, I was interviewed on both breakfast shows. They turned up at my place of work. I got calls from everyone I knew to say I was on their news, in their papers.

My wife was a mad as a badger (I'd buggered off to work, she was left with reporters out front and on the phone all day).

Here's the BBC link: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/328379.stm

BA called, said I could keep my Gold Exec club going for as long as I needed it! I said that all I wanted was for someone to apologise to the passengers. I got loads of messages from fellow passengers thanking me. Eventually, BA did apologise.

At the time, I didn't think the thing had any impact on me, but looking back, some 4 months later I'd changed jobs (to a low/no fly job) and for the past 20 years have spent way more time with my family.

I was on an episode of The Chase! Didn't win, unfortunately...

Also while not personally named, my work life has seen my content in the papers a fair few times.

And so was I (doubt it was the same episode).  I didn''t win either 😞
