Anyone Else Just Gonna Do Glastonbury Anyway?

Oh yes.....neighbours from over the back (not even next door) have complained about our loud music and 'strobe lighting' keeping them awake at 0200 last night. Ironically she's the one who likes to broadcast her lovemaking to the neighborhood on a Saturday afternoon.

We're both 57.

Well done to all those who've got Glastonbury type setups in their home.  Excellent!  I haven't done any of that myself.  But I am getting into the Glastonbury spirit by watching hours and hours of Glastonbury coverage from BBC TV and iPlayer.  And since Thursday evening, apart from short breaks to watch the news in the evening, I have not been watching anything else apart from Glastonbury! I'm having an absolute blast! I've probably watched roughly about 26 hours worth since Thursday now!  I will continue like this through to late tomorrow night.

Glastonbury is about more than just the music, music, music though.  And I need to watch some more non-music type footage.  There isn't much of this available on the BBC unfortunately.  Have found some good videos on YouTube which I watched this morning.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Ote_Yzb9V4 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K1oCknnqZrQ and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RUew_k6F_hc . All of which are very good and worth a watch.  Later this afternoon I'll probably watch the Julien Temple Glastonbury film, even though I've watched it countless times already since 2006!

There's another Julien Temple film on the iplayer about the late night areas, worth a watch if you haven't seen it.

Thanks for that.  I think I watched that before.  But will check it out later on, and will probably watch it again anyway even if I have already watched it!

Just had to do an emergency take down on the tent, as it was half on top of the neighbour's shed.

We made our guests do shots and then put it up against the clock on Friday, and a combination of a garden that's not quite big enough, and them doing a shocking job, means it's been threatening to take off all weekend. When taking it down I realised they'd only done up one or two of the clips from the inner to outer sheet 😂

With exception that I put it up myself we had the same bother here. Risk of it taking off and causing some actual damage was getting far higher than the worry of anyone getting wet! We had visions of the rain coming as soon as the tent had come down but we're still dry...for now!

Similar here.

Kind of end-of-festival feeling going on.

The wind tore one of the gazebo  velcro fastenings off and blew it from its original position despite being pegged down. The projector screen got wet and the ribbon tower lost its top. Packing some of it up now, and not going to be sleeping in the van tonight. Iplayer indoors tonight!
