I am torn on Schitt's Creek.  There are some likeable characters but a lot of the comedy just falls a bit flat for me.  I am struggling to find the enthusiasm to watch more about halfway through the second series.

Has Patrick arrived yet? He’s like the final piece of the puzzle and it goes from strength to strength (in my opinion, of course).

I enjoyed Schitt's Creek but I don't think it made me laugh at all, I think I just enjoyed the characters, especially the brother and sister (were they actually siblings, they could have been?), oh, and Moira and Stevie.

Proper soppy, oddly enjoyable, humorous but not funny, good stuff!

Ironically the siblings aren't but the lady who played Twyla is his sister so it is a family affair. I adored it. Took a while to get into but it had such heart and positivity and I just love the choices they made to not show homophobia and not mock the people from the small town.

Ah, never got any upvotes, but I wholeheartedly agree with that last sentence.  That is what I have enjoyed most about the show, but then I'm a soft old bugger.

I watched the documentary about the making of the last series as well and it was just lovely!! It has done huge things for homophobia in America by all accounts. I think the approach of not talking about and just showing a nicer way to be is something that I'd like to see more of. It's nice sometimes not to show a mirror to the world but instead show them how things can be instead.

I’m loving Malcom in the Middle on All 4 at the moment. It’s comfort TV for my soul right now in the middle of this shitty pandemic.

Re-watching it as an adult so many of the jokes went over my head as a kid, and the whole show has a real socialist underpinning which is great.

I cannot stress enough that if The Mandalorian had come out in the eighties when I was 10 years old it would have been the greatest thing I'd ever seen.

It's Saturday night teatime fodder, but its solidly entertaining and the amount of Star Wars fan service is fucking incredible.

I'm just laughing out loud the whole time.

Love the mandalorian . Great adventure and lots of fun, doesn’t take itself too seriously

quite weirdly I really like the illustrations they show during the end credits. They make me feel really nostalgic for the kind of pics they had on the original Star Wars video tape box art ha

Yeah another one for The Mandalorian. New season off to a great start and although the fan service is often so incredibly on the nose, it’s still really exciting to see all of this old Star Wars lore that’s been hinted at or just in the comics played out on screen, especially knowing we’ve got another seven episodes of it coming over the next few weeks. Easily the best thing to come out of Disney acquiring the brand imo.

Watched ep 1 of The Queens Gambit last night. Really good start.

I just finished that show last night. I'd recommend it. It managed to keep me engaged throughout. Gorgeously shot, very well acted and compelling despite basically being quite samey.
