Since we are in lock down for most of the day what’s everyone been watching?

Ive done Both series of Life on Mars, working my way through Spooks and Ashes to Ashes. The full box set of every series of Auf Wiedersehen Pet is primed and ready to go.

And every day I spend some time with my BBC glastonbury coverage That Ive sky plussed!

Daily exercise walk, some time in the garden and a bit of voluntary work delivering food and medicines. That’s about it!

I've been watching stuff at odd hours due to work commitments and childcare... (two young children!).

I've watched the whole of Tiger King on Netflix. How bizzare that so many strange people can be so interwoven!

I've finally watched the John Wick series of films! Years late. I have managed to watch a few films to be honest... The Way Back, The Hunt, Just Mercy, Rambo... all done after 11pm!

TV series I am going to start Umbrella Academy soon, and I've always said I'd watch Sons of Anarchy so I might give that a go.

Should time permit!

I've got a backlog of reading to do too!!

Both safe and The stranger on Netflix are very good thrillers/suspense programmes.

Gearing up for Tiger King on my next batch of days off.

For anyone with Netflix and hasn’t had the pleasure.. Always sunny in Philadelphia, the greatest comedy TV show ever, full stop. has 14 seasons of greatness.

I've done two episodes of Tiger King so far and it's pretty entertaining stuff. More interested drama than facts so far, but it's so much fun you don't really care.

Agree with Sunny, especially seasons 3-8. If I went on mastermind sunny would be my specialist subject

Recently been binging Community (recently added to netflix, watched several times before and it's brilliant), Bojack Horseman (best cartoon ever, no other cartoon has such a spectacular ending and they usually just go on forever) and blitzing through Narcos

Knocked Tiger King off the first week of lockdown, it was pretty good but lost a bit of steam towards the end.

Introducing my kids to Seinfeld, all seasons are on channel 4 OD. Halfway through season 3 and they are loving it.

Started watching a show called The Americans about KGB sleeper cells in 80's America, 3 episodes in and I'm in 2 minds whether to carry on, anyone here seen it?

I watched all of The Stranger the other day, after an accidental all nighter. It’s a really good series, not too hectic but enough plot to keep your brain out of trouble for a while!

I highly recommend Spooks, it’s the best thing that’s ever been on telly.

BH is one of the best tv shows ever made, starts as a silly Hollywood parody then morphs into one of the deepest and most emotionally affecting shows I’ve ever seen. It’s also funny as fuck.

I’ve also just finished Narcos.

Need to start Save Me 2 at some point soon, really enjoyed the first series.

Mr Robot which finished a couple of months ago was one of the most intense and satisfying pieces of television I've ever watched. It lost a lot of people along the way, but convinced Mrs Hats to keep going and she agreed that the finale was probably the best ending to any show we'd ever seen - although that might be because it didn't monumentally fuck it up like Game Of Thrones!

Seriously, try Mr Robot, available on Amazon Prime and keep going through the second series - you won't regret it.

Great score too. Here's a couple of examples from the last series:

My big failing is watching things that I’ve seen many tines before. It’s a nostalgia thing That comes from getting older so I am now going to look for alternatives!

Having said that,  on the subject of football I’d love to see them repeat all those match of the days from the early 70s where teams kicked the shit out of each other! 😁

Very underrated show, one of the best of the last decade. Great ending and the whole things feels very authentic.

I’ve focused on mostly depressing end of the world stuff. Started on fear the walking Dead as had never seen it, loved the walking dead until it got unwatchable. Also started on Kingdom which is very very good. Watched contagion a couple of times and Outbreak last night which are both now on Netflix. The pandemic series on Netflix was interesting in parts but also quite boring a lot of the time. Dip into Bojack and the Trip to Greece every now and then. Watched one  episode of Save me Too. Had watched the stranger a while ago which of liked. The Nest looks quite good. Really enjoyed the Boys so might give that Umbrella show a go as looks like it could be similar... although I was disappointed when it wasn’t about resident Evil!

For those who haven’t seen it watch The Leftovers. Criminally underrated. The rapture type concept could have been done terribly, but the narrative is terrific and the acting is always top draw. It’s not a show with clear answers, but if you’re willing to sit with the uncertainty it pays off.
