Absolute crap, but she'll probably still win an undeserved Bafta!

I tried my best to like it because I thought Suranne Jones was outstanding in ‘I Am Victoria’ but there’s just no warmth or humanity to Vigil. There are no likeable characters and the plot is clunky and lame.

philipsteak
I'm quite enjoying Vigil. Don't get me wrong, it's not good. It's very silly but takes itself very seriously which can be a delicious combination at times. If it had a longer run I'd have given up but I can ride out the 6 episodes to what will surely be an infuriating ending.

Quark
Finished season 2 of Final Space. So glad I stuck with it. Started Squid Game last night. It's like someone got smashed and binge watched Hunger Games and Takeshi's Castle. This is a good thing.
Gnomicide
Looking forward to the last one of Vigil tonight. Yes, it's ridiculous but makes for good Sunday night telly. I watched the first of the Star Wars anime things last night, quite enjoyed it (though I was waste deep in wine). I think the rest of the series will be quite different, based purely on the pics in the episode list, but a strong start.
guypjfreak
Just started watching VIGIL Have had to download last one but that's cool
Ryan1984
Started Midnight Mass on Netflix last night. A bit slower than previous Mike Flanagan series but I’m invested and intrigued (I don’t think he’ll ever match Haunting of Hill House again). For football fans, the Fever Pitch documentary was a good watch if a little Man Utd-centric (Made by Beckham’s production company). Squid Game and Kevin Can F**k Himself next on my list. Quark
First episode of Taskmaster last night. Laughed like a drain as per. This looks like it could be a cracking series.
kalifire
Thought the ending to VIGIL was about as bad as the rest of it. What a load of old shite. Going to try Alice in Borderland on the strength of Squid Game.
jump
I've watched the first episode of Orville, god damn it's probably the biggest piece of shit I've ever seen. Back to Lower Decks for my Star Trek funnies.

It was fairly predictable and generic but I enjoyed it for what it was - you know what you’re getting with those kinds of BBC dramas. My partner actually bet me at the end of the second to last episode that the main character was gonna drown in that tube. Easiest £10 I’ve ever made. Hutchmaster
I thought Vigil was alright. Nice Sunday evening viewing if you can let go of how ridiculous it all was, although the ending was all a bit too predictable. It certainly won't go down as a classic or something I'm dying for a second series of. Gets bonus points for having Fuel to the Fire as the intro song, though. Not something I would normally try but saw the recomendations on here so thought I'd give them a go .. gonna try Sweet Home next as that is apparently similar. John the Moth
Catching up on Season 1 of The Morning Show before watching season 2 with the Missus. In return she’s catching up on Dexter before that returns in November.
kalifire
I forgot about the return of Dexter. Guess I’ll give it a shot although it wasn’t very good after John Lithgow’s Trinity killer. We also have new Curb and new Succession, both starting in October. Boomtowner
Just binged Ted Lasso, thought I wouldn't like it at first, but it quickly improved and can't wait for the final few episodes of series 2. Just about to finish season 5 of Billions which should lead nicely into the new series of Succession.

Been on my ‘maybe’ pile for a while, and it’s got a great cast, but I’ve heard it drops off significantly as it goes on.

henry bear
I nearly binned Vigil after a couple of episodes - far fetched and rather slow. Picked up though, towards the end.
