SheffJeff
Last weekend I was made to watch some god awful Christmas movies so to appease me my girlfriend finally agreed to watch The Wire... fuck me, I'd forgotten how good it is and more importantly what a fucking legend Omar is. I genuinely think he's the best character in anything I've ever watched... such a shame there was never a spin off series. You've gotta take the rough with the smooth though as Ziggy's such a massive ballbag... he actually seems to get more annoying the second time round which I didn't think would have been possible. kalifire
I know this is awful and far from the lofty heights of The Wire (which I still haven’t watched) but I’ve found myself binging “Can’t Pay? We’ll Take It Away!”, a god-awful load of poverty-porn trash from Channel 5. It’s simple, I don’t have to think about it, it’s British so in a funny way makes me feel closer to home, and slightly better about my finances as well. I know. I’m not proud of it. Instead it's a heap of fun while still actually being about stuff. Yup, I'm a fan of 7-9 as well Calgon. Bits that could be better or even cut, but that's like most films. Caught up with latest Mando last night. Seriously good. Treading the line between quality new storytelling and fan service like a boss. Reckoner
Ted Lasso. On paper there is no reason it should work. An American Gridiron Coach being put in charge of a Premier League team, but it's well written and acted, has great characters and is surprisingly heartfelt in between the jokes (probably thanks to Bill Lawrence of Scrubs fame. Would recommend
Ryan1984
Has anyone looked at the Christmas TV schedules? Ghosts, Taskmaster, Black Narcissus on my list. What’s on yours?
rosieangel
Binged seven episodes of The Flight Attendant yesterday which is very good. Currently streaming on HBO Max and coming to NowTV in the new year, might have used slightly nefarious means but i would really recommend! Similar to Dead to Me. Not so much a binge but my housemate and i are steadily making our way through the X Files for the first time, lots of love for Scully and Skinner, less love for Mulder! We're at season 9. SwedgeAntilles
The Undoing - surprisingly great. With this, Patria, Queen's Gambit and the Mandalorian I've closed off the year with some fantastic TV.

I didn't think it looked *that* off. Noticeable sure, but not enough to take you out of it. Agree @CaledonianGonzo, they nailed it from start to finish. As a huge Obi Wan mark I am buzzing even more for that now
Ryan1984
Was that the last Mandalorian? I thought it had been renewed for a couple more seasons but would be happy for them to wrap it up there.
Pottsy2913
Seeing THAT scene in The Mandalorian finale genuinely made me feel like a kid again. Just brilliant. Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni, take a bow.

It’s been renewed for at least another season I believe and probably more. Too much of a success to just end there, even with the huge wealth of new Star Wars stuff coming on Disney+. Homer
The Xmas Meet the Richardsons is pretty funny (first ep, not seen the second yet). It's got Johnny Vegas and Jason Donovan in too.
Supernintendo Chalmers
Just started "Alice in Borderland" on Netflix. Absolutely tremendous stuff. Do yourselves a favour though and switch off the terrible English dubbing and watch it in the original Japanese audio with subtitles.

Ayrshire Chris
Revisiting the night manager. Great mini series. Tom Hollander for me, steals the show. A right nasty bastard !
