I've just rewatched the whole thing in anticipation. Aberfan, Bubbikins and Tywysog Cymru were once again an emotional roller coaster for me. The whole show is fantastic in my eyes, as an interesting alternative perspective on modern UK history (like a posh Forrest Gump in longform) but those 3 episodes are some of the best television I've watched, tears were shed. The aberfan episode is stunning even though season 3 was my least favourite so far. Dunno I really think Claire Foy and Matt Smith nailed it as young Liz and Phil. I’m very very very much looking forward to season 4 though. I’m in need of some more blockbuster style things to stream. Same goes for Mandalorian. Hopefully the end of this year will wrap up with a few great things to watch.
Spindles
I think I'm going to try and wait until the whole of the Mandalorian has aired before watching it. I'm currently watching Star Trek: Discovery in weekly instalments and it annoys me having to wait and only getting 42 minutes after titles once a week. I much prefer to burn through a 10 part series in 2 evenings. Disco isn't to everyone's taste, but I thought the second season was top notch and I've come to love a lot of the characters. SheffJeff
Watched the first episode of The Mandalorian last night, late to the party I know. Was a bit confused why they'd filmed it all in an alien dialect with English subtitles but enjoyed it nevertheless. Just watching the second episode and I've realised that for some reason the audio was set to Portuguese, I'm now enjoying it in English. What a tit. 2
sedra
Re-watching Battlestar Galactica at moment- it’s really a lot weirder than I remember the first time round! also Dawson’s Creek now on Netflix 😀

As strange as it sounds I think I actually enjoyed watching it in Portugese more. When I watch something with subtitles I have to 100% engage where as when its in english I find myself messing about on my phone or laptop and generally missing bits. I suppose thats why I used to like the nordic noir type series.
Ryan1984
Just watched His House on Netflix. Very good but disturbing and unsettling in many ways.
gmb1992
The Mandalorian is only available on Disney + right? I'm thinking it will be nice Christmas viewing when there's nothing to do except watch tv and eat chocolate.
Ayrshire Chris
I’m about to restart for the umpteenth time Auf Wiedersehen Pet from the beginning in Germany. Reckon I know the scripts word for word but in my opinion the first two series are the best tv ever made .

SwedgeAntilles
Latest episode of The Mando was terrific. Buzzing for next week!
priest17
Maddening to think how much time and money has been thrown into the last 8 star wars films when they could have all been The Mandalorian. Buzzing for the rest of it, it's really managed to improve so far this season after a really enjoyable first season.
The Dawg
I have never watched anything twice but, you know, Game of Thrones. I always used to say that it's the best thing I have ever watched where I don't know what the f#ck is going on. It's amazing what you pick up on watching something the second time around. Just finished episode 8? of Series 5 where the White Walkers turn up. Bloody hell!!! the filming is incredible.
foolee
Just watched the 3 seasons of The Sinner which were brilliant. Now I’m halfway through Ratched. Any recommendations on the next season? I’ve got Black Mirror, The Alienist and Strange Things on my list currently.
Mr Boo
I’m really enjoying the Santa Clarita diet - funny zombie series with Drew Barrymore. Also watching the Queen’s Gamit - makes you want to play a game of chess, but it’s more interesting than I make it sound.
CaledonianGonzo
I liked The Queen's Gambit rather than loved it. It’s well made and looks fabulous, the acting's great and keeps you engaged - but it feels a bit less than the sum of its parts.
morph100
The Undoing is excellent - one a week currently though.
Ryan1984
The Vow on Sky Documentaries is worth watching. It’s about that multi-level ‘marketing’/self-improvement agency that the girl from Smallville got mixed up in.
jannybruck
Norsemen on Netflix – hilarious comedy show about vikings. Has that sort of stop-start awkward natural comedy of something like The Office, with a touch of Monty Python. The actors are Norwegian and they film every scene in Norwegian and then English!
