RIP Bill Withers

A Legend that to my knowledge never graced the festival.   Passed away at 81 due to a heart issues

Sad news indeed. He pretty much retired from music in the 80s, which was a shame as he certainly would have been more widely revered as a legend by a new generation had he continued, and his back catalogue is superb. He would have gone down a storm on the pyramid.

Personally I love the Live at Carnegie Hall album. One of the greatest live albums ever. Well worth your time.

There’s an extremely good video, that I’ve not been able to track down whilst doing a quick search, of the Stone circle on Monday morning in recent years. Lovely day begins playing on some speakers and everyone’s dancing and singing along despite the festival being over.

Always just thought everyone was in agreement that this was Bill at his finest, seen very little of it recently though.

Sad news that Lord Bath has died after contracting this horrible virus. Wasn’t he a friend of Michael? Sure I remember that.
