Greenelk
A Legend that to my knowledge never graced the festival. Passed away at 81 due to a heart issues Edited April 3, 2020 by Greenelk
maelzoid
Sad news indeed. He pretty much retired from music in the 80s, which was a shame as he certainly would have been more widely revered as a legend by a new generation had he continued, and his back catalogue is superb. He would have gone down a storm on the pyramid. Personally I love the Live at Carnegie Hall album. One of the greatest live albums ever. Well worth your time. kalifire
Absolutely gutted about this. This man's music meant so much to so many.

Andy0808 v5
There’s an extremely good video, that I’ve not been able to track down whilst doing a quick search, of the Stone circle on Monday morning in recent years. Lovely day begins playing on some speakers and everyone’s dancing and singing along despite the festival being over. RIP
Jcatley
Lovely Day is one of my all time favourite songs. A true legend. RIP Bill Withers.
blutarsky
How do you turn a duck into a soul legend? Stick it in the microwave until it’s Bill Withers.

Hugh Jass
There goes one of my favourite Partridge lines: “That was Bill Withers, who thank the lord, is still with us”.

priest17
Always just thought everyone was in agreement that this was Bill at his finest, seen very little of it recently though. Not a competition obviously and God bless the guy, RIP
