Crazy that R&L have had The Cure and Arcade Fire as headliners in the last 10 years tbf. Not much chance either of those would ever get booked these days sadly, deffo not the cure anyway.

+Pulp

Can't see them booking QOTSA again either.

Yeah Pulp and probably QOTSA too. Most people I knew at the fest in 2017 literally couldn’t care less about the QOTSA secret set, shame cuz they were great.

I really didn’t wanna go coz I thought I’d miss Kasabian but my Dad dragged me there and they were very good, glad I saw Kasabian tho

I think Arcade Fire could be booked, it’s more a hoping coz I recently realised how much I like their music but idk I could just see them on a Friday night

Rage Against the Machine (35)
The 1975 (35)
Foo Fighters (10) +5
Foals (40) -5
Biffy Clyro (10) -5
Queens of the Stone Age (35)
The Cure (25)
Arcade Fire (40) -5

Got to agree on 1975 being good - I saw them at sziget (missed reading last year as all the headliners were the same) and they seriously made me want to get a reading ticket but unfortunately i was on holiday. They have about 20 songs that are really good which few bands do for me - I can listen to the spotify playlist 'this is the 1975' and not even skip anything (except People that song is dreadful). I used to bash them for so long as well - my friend whos a fan of them even screenshot when i admitted i was wrong haha.

Personally think the 1975 are the worse live band from all of the above except maybe QotSA but Queens are a better band. Watching 1975 on their 1st album in Brixton and they were so boring, love their albums but I think once you’ve watched a band live and they aren’t great it’s hard to like them as much, bit like RHCP.

just to check but have you seen them since? as a lot has probably changed since then really

The Kooks were gobshite at reading 18 but i really enjoyed them at community last year and have started listening to them a bit more since. It goes both ways that kind of thing - plenty of acts i've overlooked and then enjoyed live.
