2014, first year in its current home?

It looks pre 2017 to me, and that was the last year of the spider. 2010 was the first year of it. I’ll say 2014. 
 

EDIT: beaten to it, so changing my guess to 2015.

If it's what I think you mean, then it was 2007 - they had a goofy 2 stage set up and alternated between the 2 to minimise changeover times.

Stage One in the normal place inside the tent. Stage 2 was at the sound desk and facing out towards the meeting point.

Alternative answer - in years prior to that, they had a kind of indoor market set up - so there was stalls flogging political books etc all along the inside of the tent.

That's it.  I ducked my head in a couple of times to witness someone banging on about politics whilst someone else tried to play guitar on another stage.  Even in the rain I didn't stick around long.

When did TV coverage of the festival start? For clarity, I'm not counting the Films or the Goode vs Eavis documentary in this.

I'm pretty sure it was Channel 4 but without Google I'm not sure on the year... mid nineties, 1995?

'Twas definitely on TV in 94 because seeing made me want to go and led me to asking people about it and seeing it on the Friday night in 95 had me onsite the next day, so... As I'm sure 95 was C4 I'll say 94 BBC 2 and hope it's wrong because coming up with a question is nails!
