Pulp replaced the Stone Roses when Mr Squire went a cropper on his mountain bike. Oasis are correct (I foolishly chose them over Prodigy. In fact all 3 of my headliner choices were wrong that year). On balance I'm in favour of the fence. Apart from anything if GFL hadn't put up the fence to control numbers their licence wouldn't have been renewed. Felt a bit dead I agree, but it was amazing the difference in the time it took to get around the site minus the overcrowding, it was less 'edgy' but having been robbed in 98 I wasn't too bothered by that. Funnily enough, nowadays the site feels as crowded as the pre-fence days.

Based on what I know about Frome votes though I'm having a wild stab at around 10,000.
