For Scotland, a few months ago they concentrated on hard to reach over 70s and care homes didnt they? i assume its the same principle for concetrating on them for second doses

Looks like the policy in Scotland is to complete the second jab in the top 9 groups before moving down the age groups.  https://public.tableau.com/profile/phs.covid.19#!/vizhome/COVID-19DailyDashboard_15960160643010/Overview

Aren't we not too far off 57% of first doses for at least the eligible population (adults) ourselves?

62.9% from what I have it as for first doses. Thats 33,139,742 first doses against an adult population of 52,673,433.

Crazy. I didn't realise israel had stalled so much to be honest.

I don't think they stalled, Israel did a shorter period between 1st and 2nd doses which meant they haven't got as many of those done as us.

Wow just had a massive argument with my dad over the festival thing. Asked me "why can't you sacrifice another summer you've got loads left" and "millennials all about me me me". Which is a bit rich as he's looking to book holidays this year and I think that's crazy but still.

He's totally right though I won't be admitting it. We just need to ride it out this year and hope for normality summer 2022. Covid is and will be a threat to people for the rest of this year

If it’s still a threat to people this year it will be next year too. It’ll already barely be a threat in the U.K. in a few more weeks. Deaths will continue to drop.

Don't even know what that means domestically.

What about all those people who work it the life events industry? Do they just have to ‘ride it out’ too?

Exactly, so many of the supply chain and freelancers are on the brink of collapse. Another year of no live events will wipe many of them out.

    • Yeah so many of mine seem to be just France v Spain in one semi and England/Brazil v Argentina in the other. But the fact those combos are the obvious ones mean it feels unlikely that'll happen because in World Cup history, you very rarely end up with what pre-tournament looks like the obvious final 4. We all see teams outperform and underperform. Which one is the fall guy is a different matter.   I've said elsewhere that for me, there's a hierarchy of Spain, France and Argentina as the 3 strongest looking, then England and Portugal, then Brazil and Germany, but that overall, they'd be the 7 likeliest to win. So I dunno, maybe this will be the time the Netherlands avenge the failure of total football in 1974 and achieve what they couldn't achieve through whatever the f**k Nigel de Jong was with his 2010 final karate moves.
    • Oh I think Infantino should resign. His handling of the whole WC process has been an utter shitshow. But you know. That would require him having integrity or something.
    • Good Charlotte would be fine third down or subbing. If they can get a bigger sub and still get GC, they’ll play third down.

    • Nope, Sum 41 had already headlined second stage along with Rob Zombie and Slayer in 2017....are we saying that Rob and Slayer would be 4th down the Pyramid. The KSE are always predicted 3rd down, Skindred are given 3rd down and we think 7 years after a second stage headline with that genre very 'IN' they wouldn't get 3rd down.  Sum 41 did a last ever UK did that had Wembley Arena and not The 02 and it wasn't anywhere near the prices Good Charlotte is costing. Every act is going to do well on a final tour, GC have only just come back and in my opinion a shocking day of music overall for the return choice.    On Slam Dunk, firstly Sum 41 headlined in 2022 when festivals returned from the covid time out, every festival going sold out and some very quickly! Secondly, Slam Dunk in 2022 was not £150 for a day ticket. Also thirdly, Slam Dunk 2022 was a great lineup, this years was pants! I met two guys at RIP who said to me they think 2025 was more fitting for the anniversary lineup and they couldn't be more correct, in the very top lineups they've ever put out. Its not as plain and simple as you've put.
