How much supply do they have though? Like approving Moderna, it's no good if we can't get much of it.

30 million doses we've ordered.

They are apparently behind on production but hope to catch up by March, which is probably when it'd be approved for use.

It seems like we are all on the same page with things being opened up slowly (the correct decision) but what are your predictions for when the following will be back? Apparently the scientists have told Spaffer May at the earliest...

Gyms/Hairdressers/non-essential retail etc:

Pubs, restaurants, cinemas etc:

Events (with distancing measures):

International travel:

The reports of production delays have all been surrounding their US manufacturing & delivery.. Don't think there's been any reports of how it's going in Europe where the production has largely been sub-contracted.

Don't know about the others but international travel no later than May I'd have thought. It's a key part of the economy, it's a controlled environment with testing.

When you say international travel by May do you mean being able to do it or that there won't be any incoming border testing/quarantine requirements?

International travel:

Gyms/Hairdressers/non-essential retail etc: mid April (with distancing/masks)

Pubs, restaurants, cinemas etc: mid May (with distancing/masks)

Events (with distancing measures): July (depending on event, with distancing/masks)

International travel: August maybe (to select destinations, and with tests at airtports etc).

Oh sorry, yes still with restrictions (testing/quarantine). Of course if there's quarantine on both ends it might as well not be allowed.

Edit: I see Portugal has just joined Spain in banning ALL travel into the country for UK citizens.

I actually think we'll go back into tiers and not everywhere will have restrictions eased at same rate...even with schools going back...

I think they’ll be aiming to get international travel going in July to hit the summer holidays (Scotland’s start in mid-July?).
