Could be that the GP has stocks of Pfizer/Moderna and no one requires 2nd jab, talk at vaccination centre is that they could be used for the under 30s who cannot have AZ.

Doh. That's a far better hypothesis than mine, think you'll be right there. Completely forgot about the <30s not getting AZ.

some people have been able to deal better with lockdowns than others yep absolutely bang on there ..... I dont think many if any want those restrictions to continue though .... everybody is missing /has missed something that lockdowns have restricted

Yep but I have no idea why I’m called a bully for a pretty innocuous post. Especially from a guy who is the most verbally abusive on this entire thread.

Why are you so lacking in empathy? We've all suffered from lack of social contact, especially at the start. And we all discussed how hard it was - at length.

I've no idea how your brain works that being happy for the reopening doesn't leave any room for any consideration for people who are struggling with re-integration.

Personally, I'm somewhere in the middle. On balance, I'm looking forward to getting back into things, but not without some apprehension about learning how to socialise again. I think I'll be fine, but I certainly feel for those who are going to find it harder, surely you'd have to be a psychopath not to?

Because the same people saying now that they want to keep masking and distancing forever are the people that were making us feel guilty for being down about lockdown last year, praising countries who locked down early, “just stay home and shut up” type stuff. Frankly, my mental health was in the toilet as a direct result of this sort of behaviour. So I won’t be shedding any tears for people like @Ozanne when society reopens.

Right, so you're pissed off with Ozanne, but everyone else who didn't piss you off, but is struggling can also get in the sea?

from a personal point of view it certainly helps .... but as someone that has been very aware of distancing and was shielding during the first wave its quite a difficult thing to break .... Im much more aware of my personal space at the moment ... and I guess a needle doesn't instantaneously stop that being the case ... Ill get there ive no doubt ... but some understanding for people that have had to shield would be great .... Thank you

I guess with your job it can either be a help or a hinderance to getting ready to being back out there. Especially after shielding! I definitely think you are right about having a vaccine helping but it not being the an instant reset button.

This is the thing everyone has their own battles and their own way of overcoming those battles, and we’ll all get their in the end.

I’m pissed off with everyone who’s trying to stop us living life as normal. I could just about understand it last year when there was a threat to the NHS but that is no longer the case so it’s time to let everyone define their own risk.

Its always them screaming foul while dishing out abuse, group ignoring people, tag team down voting, and basically acting like a bunch of teenage girls.

Its kind of pathetic if it wasn't so amusing.

are you part of a watts app group with Bisque by any chance ? I mean he admitted to trolling on here b4 and was part of a larger group that egged each other on ?

It was in response to your tarty like ways downvoting me all the time 🙂   Glad you noticed 🙂

At this moment your rep is 0, an amazing feat after 13,359 posts. If ever there was a forum trophy for Marmite then you must surely win.

I feel I should set up a Hurt/Heal thread on your behalf. It could be the new Radiohead/Bowie/REM thread!

Forgot to ask, why did you leave the WhatsApp group we were all in 😇

I wish I could virtually hand out some mdma to you all.

On a serious point, some people need to take a break from this thread I think the top four posters have about 35k posts between them which is nearly half of the replies!

Other way round at my centre, last one was my busiest shift yet, non stop from start to finish and from talking to the staff, pretty consistently so. The poor receptionists were losing their minds by the end of the day

Mad how it varies so much by area!

I was inferring that you was a lunatic. I feel the joke was lost as I had to explain it. I do try 😧

Aaagh, got you OG. I'm sorry that I didn't 'get it'. The balance of the mind has recently been fumigated with some nice burning weed.

I've only just started reading the last bit of the thread. It is interesting because although I do have scant information ( I haven't read it all in full whilst having access to a fully functioning brain) I can currently see and accept everyone's viewpoint.

Anyway OG, your assumption that I'm a lunatic is mad. However, I would say that, wouldn't I?

All the best. 🙂

The first time that I went to Vietnam I got off the plane, took a taxi into Hanoi and then went to a chemist to get a shed load of valium. Three days later I was told by one of the friends that I was travelling with, to please stop taking the valium. I inncoently enough asked why, and my mate responded ' Because you've turned into a mong'. I should imagine that there's a fair few out there that would argue that I didn't have much wriggle room in that area to begin with. Part of me would have to agree with them, of course.

I tend to stay away from this thread unless i'm in a very good mood. It is however very much like a soap opera and you can quite quickly work out the protagonists on any given day/week

Thanks for pointing that out OG. I shall have to return and look at it all in the cold light of day.
