Plenty of new Tory constituencies in Level 3. Mind you, they probably don't bother printing a map with anything north of wherever HS2 is going.

How are gigs supposed to take place in Tier 2? Recently bought tickets which were only being sold per tables of 2, 4 & 6.

Do you think venue will have to cancel show? Bearing in mind most tickets / tables won't be sold to "households" and will be a mix of people from different houses etc.

I think the gigs will go ahead. The venue may ask are you all part of the same bubble and if you say Yes that will be the end of it. Chances are you'll just be directed to where you're to be seated.

This what the gov website says about performances. In relation to your 2nd point, in tier 2 people from different households can’t mix together. There shouldn’t be any mixing like you describe. It’s impossible for the venue to know so it’s down to trust that people are sticking to the rules.

I doubt many gigs will go ahead as they can't serve booze, so they won't make any money

Venues have worked their socks off to adapt to this shite new existence we all find ourselves in and small artists have to gig to make money. 

How is there supposed to be enough tickets sold if you are only supposed to go to them with your own household?!

If they serve you a pizza they can serve you booze. Nothing to stop them cutting a deal with a local takeaway so the takeaway gets trade, they get to sell on with a small mark-up, and to sell booze.

Because with more households mixing together in that type of environment it raises the risk of transmission of the virus. In those tiers cases are supposedly high too which means they have to take additional measures to limit the risk, especially as it’s winter. 
 

They are trying to let those places open to get some income coming in. It probably isn’t going to be enough or worthwhile for those venues to be honest.
 

It sucks for sure and I really feel for those places but that is unfortunately why the rules are in place and is also what the government have decided the current rules should be. Whether they are the right rules or not we should all stick to them to help limit the spread and any strain put on the NHS.

Clapham Grand say that as they are a theatre, they can sell booze without food. But if not, they offer food

On the household mixing thing, as with most tier 2 places pre-lock down,you turn up together and say youre in the same household, they wont ask any questions

To be fair I was surprised at how low their numbers per 100,000 had got - they're down to the 200 mark now, with Manchester mainly 350+ so it makes sense

I'd argue it's a safer environment than a gym where you're heavy breathing / leaving sweat everywhere and they can open in every tier but there we go.

Sorry to be a square but these rules are in place for reason. If everyone think like this then we’ll be back at square one again.
