They should have never made masks mandatory, cases have risen steadily ever since.
People (idiots) think they can ignore social distancing if they’re wearing a mask. The messaging on this hasn’t been strong enough.
Stopped at Tesco on the way home for a couple of bits, remove the masks and it would have been a normal day in Tesco this time last year.

Or alternatively people got bored with social distancing anyway and the masks have prevented a far worse situation than we currently have ... and  it’s bad enough as it is !!

yeah, what is it with that? I much prefer drinking on my own, having a little cry.

Only when watching Glastonbury coverage....

More thinking the big groups- and that wont stop whatever they shut.

Basically these reports are an economy destroying measure that probably won't have much effect on the spread unless kids really don't transmit it to their parents....

Obviously we'll get more information soon but would this be full March lockdown with a stay at home message or more of a May/June one where we're still allowed to socialise in certain locations as they seem to be suggesting schools and shops can stay open?

Well obviously leaking it the newspapers on a Friday instead of telling parliament is the right thing to do

I don't see how they can justify stay at home if they're keeping schools and shops open, it's more likely to be 'control the virus, save lives, save Christmas'

How can they justify saying save Christmas, Christmas will be different anyway this year. They need to get ahead of that too.
