Talking of popcorn check out the trailer for the new Borat film. It’s going to be so on the nose for 2020.

Which one?  I don't know if anyone else has noticed this but every day they announce the film with a different name and slightly different trailer.  Yesterdays was the one with bribe in the title, the day before it was Borat 2:Donald Trump and the day before that the title with pornographic monkey.  I think this in itself is a joke about disinformation but I could be reading too much into it.

As I understand it the 25th amendment only fills the presidency, not the vice presidency. That stays within the gift of whoever is president to nominate someone to be confirmed by the senate. So if Pence became President Pelosi would stay speaker unless there was a vacancy in the presidency.

So would Pence's new vice become president and Pelosi would only take over if Pres and VP were taken out before a new VP was installed?

What's Plan B? Herd immunity?

Well sure, he has broken the law many times. But so too have the other presidents, yes including Obama. Why do we not send them all to jail?

C19 is picking up a single letter mutation per fortnight, influenza picks up a mutation per week, HIV picks up two per week.

It's difficult to know if it'll outpace vaccines as we do not have a vaccine yet, it will depend on the mutations themselves, and we do not know how long we my have immunity (we have proof of reinfection after as little as 14 weeks).

And even if you're right, slow mutation, it's no like this vaccine has, like influenza, only go out to to a few groups. It needs to be rolled-out globally, as in every person on the planet. Heck of an undertaking.

I believe it's not just the rate of mutation, but which area .  My understanding is the vaccines are targeting the areas that are even less likely to mutate.  But yeah, the logistics are v. challenging, especially when you throw in a limited time of immunity from a shot.

But we'll beat it, I have no doubt, it's just the timeframes that are uncertain.

we also have proof that's the exception and not the rule, and we also have proof of exceptions to immunity being normal.

Yeah, I think it's also far too early to be drawing any conclusions from a few outliers, hard to view the few that have been documented as anything more than oddities.  A handful of cases out of the nearly 35 million recorded infections isn't really any kind of pattern you could glean useful information from I'd think.

If you read Toilet Duck's posts there is much more than just a vaccine and herd immunity that could get us back to the farm.

I agree it might not be next year but no one can say it definitely won't be at this stage. Why give up hope this early?

This one is definitely on it’s way in a few weeks. The timing of the release isn’t accidental.

I think you misunderstand, I'm not saying the film isn't coming, but that they are releasing different trailers and names every day.

Yesterday's title was: Borat: Subsequent Moviefilm: Delivery of Prodigious Bribe to American Regime for Make Benefit Once Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan

Tuesday's title was: Borat 2: Donald Trump

Monday's title was: Borat: Gift of Pornographic Monkey to Vice Premiere Mikhael Pence to Make Benefit Recently Diminished Nation of Kazakhstan.

Before that it had been referred to as: Borat 2: Great Success

I think they are playing a game with constantly providing different titles.

@Zoo Music Girl Sorry to hear about your situation, it sounds like you have a cold however as your friend is undergoing treatment it probably is best to stay away I’d say. That’s what I would do anyway!

Yeah I think you're right. As I say, if it wasn't for the Covid stuff making me worried about seeing her again this year I know I would probably cancel to be on the safe side. So that's what I should do. Thanks.

I knew about the name change. Think that was just down to Amazon not wanting pornographic in the title. I haven’t seen any other trailers though, I’ll have a look around for them.

Either way it’s going to cause huge political rumblings when it’s viewed by an American audience.

@Toilet DuckAny thoughts on these?  Seemingly quite a few getting more severe symptoms on reinfection.

Interval on some of the severe reinfections quite short, new infection or relapse? Most of these seem to be confirmed by genetic sequencing as different strains, but with a sample size this small, pretty hard to draw any firm conclusions. Simultaneous infection with 2 strains and one outlasted the other? Can only see the clinical details for 3 of the serious reinfections. 2 had COPD, the other was healthy (and pretty young). So, possibly clinical reasons why symptoms were worse second time around, but really, with so few cases, you could find all sorts of patterns and draw the wrong conclusion.

QAnon believers are apparently happy that Trump says he has COVID, because COVID is fake, so Trump is actually pulling a power move on the deep state, who think COVID is real because they created it as a power move on Trump.

That means Hillary is getting arrested.

Will it? Or will it just confirm what people want it to confirm. Can't imagine too many Trump supporters will watch it so they'll get it second hand through Fox News or worse where they'll just hear 'look what these godless leftists are saying about you now! Well you know how to wipe the smug laugh of their faces'

    • Himalayan salt lamps are decoration lighting that you may purchase for your house. They are made of pink Himalayan salt and are believed to offer a variety of health advantages. In reality, advocates of salt lamps believe that they can purify the air in your home, relieve allergies, improve your mood, and help you sleep.   Some people claim that Himalayan salt lamps can improve air quality, boost mood, and aid with sleep. However, there is little evidence to support these claimed health benefits.     What Are The Salt Lamps, And Why Are They Used?   Himalayan salt lamps are created by inserting a light bulb into huge chunks of pink Himalayan salt. True Himalayan salt lamps are created from salt collected from Pakistan's Khewra Salt Mine. Salt from this area is thought to be millions of years old, and while it looks quite similar to table salt, the tiny amounts of minerals it contains give it a pinkish hue. Many individuals purchase Himalayan salt lamps because they like the way they look and the peace that the pink light provides in their homes. Meanwhile, some are drawn to their potential health benefits.   How Do Pink Himalayan Salt Lamps Work?   Salt lamps are thought to have health benefits because they are "natural ionizers," which means they change the electrically charged particles of the flowing air. Ions are compounds with an uneven number of protons or electrons, which gives them a charge. They are naturally formed in the air as a result of atmospheric changes. Streams, storms, waves, natural radiation, and heat all generate air ions. They can also be generated artificially using commercially available air ionizers. It is thought that Himalayan salt lamps produce ions by attracting water particles, which evaporate as a salt solution when heated by the lamp, resulting in mainly negative ions. However, this theory is yet to be verified.   Related Topic: Is Pink Salt Better Than Normal Salt? How To Buy Pink Salt In Canada? 8 Benefits Of Pink Himalayan Salt      What Are The Health Claims, And How Do They Measure Up? They enhance the air purity   They are promoted as helpful for persons suffering from allergies, asthma, or respiratory disorders such as cystic fibrosis. There is presently no proof that using a Himalayan salt lamp can eliminate harmful bacteria and enhance indoor air quality. The argument that they are beneficial to persons with respiratory issues may be based on the ancient technique of halotherapy. According to this therapy, persons with chronic respiratory diseases are helped by spending time in saltwater caves since salt is present in the air. Some researchers have found that this approach may be beneficial to specific respiratory disorders, but further high-quality studies are still needed.   Eases Coughing As you are aware, the benefits listed in the previous section highlight the distinct characteristics of Himalayan salt lamps. When these lamps heat up, they emit negative ions that offset the positive ions in our surroundings, resulting in cleaner air quality. This process increases cilial activity in our airways, which aids in the removal substances from the lungs. In essence, Himalayan salt lamps act as natural air filters, promoting general health.   In a nutshell, Himalayan pink salt lamps not only remove impurities from the air but also assist your body filter air more efficiently, making sure any foreign particles you inhale do not enter your lungs.   They can help you sleep   There have been no studies looking into the impact of Himalayan salt lamps on sleep. However, a 2013 study examining the effects of air ionization on relaxation and sleep found no evidence of a positive effect. Thus, even if salt lamps have an effect on the air environment, it is unknown whether this will change sleep patterns. If you replace strong electric lights with a Himalayan salt lamp, the dark light could help encourage weakness near the end of the day. This is because being exposed to bright light before bedtime can cause the sleep hormone melatonin to be produced later.   SUMMARY: Himalayan salt lamps are said to improve air quality, elevate mood, and aid in sleep. However, there is right now insufficient evidence to support these statements.     Do Pink Salt Lamps Provide Any Benefits?   Although some of its health claims have not been verified by science, Himalayan salt lamps may provide additional benefits. This includes: They are attractive: If you like how they look, they could be a good addition to your home. They help to create a soothing atmosphere that allows you to unwind. They may help minimize light in the evening: If you have trouble sleeping, utilizing dim lights in the evening may help you fall asleep more quickly.     Further Ways to Purify Your Home Air   Himalayan pink salt lamps are not the only technique to improve your home's air quality. Pair them with air purifying houseplants or any of these other easy but incredible ways to naturally filter the air in your home, helping you and your family to breathe the healthiest, cleanest air imaginable!     Read More...
