I had a wander about earlier and yes initially they look quiet for a sat ... but I also think people will be nervous about an initial chaos so are taking a more delayed option .....

I thought a lot of people would be desperate to get out....but yes maybe a lot nervous, and maybe the booking thing is just a bit of hassle.

Maybe people have also just got used to staying in...have lost the desire to go out and socialise?

To be fair...isn't 20th June 2 weeks ago?

The Trump rally he attended was 2 weeks ago today, so he couldn't have been back in the UK for 2 weeks. The negative test claim is bollocks, it doesn't meany anything. He's breached quarantine, lock him up.

I thought the same ..it will slowly creep back im sure but I guess its dependant on what remains when we go back .... for single people its horrendous ... so im going to have to brave something at some point ... either that or a walk .... the virtual dating really isn't my cup of tea :(

It's exactly two weeks ago so with the flight time and time zone difference he'd have to have timed it very well to have got the 14 days done. Surely 14 days from when you land?

Sure nothing will happen to him anyway.

The virtual dating scene has been tough. Been great chatting to girls but when it comes to meeting its been tricky. Not keen on inviting a total stranger to my house nor the same in return. Going for a walk down the canal or in the park is also suspect. At least we should be able to finally meet someone in a bar!

I got a 12 hour ban from twitter earlier by replying to that smug pic of him sat in the pub saying it’d be a shame if someone poisoned his pint  I bloody hate the guy.

Also regarding this point, thats not true for a number of reasons.

Firstly, there is a correlation between the numbers of tests being carried out and the number of infections found. Testing has steadily increased but infections have steadily dropped. This is proof infections are dropping and thus so are deaths.

But aside from that we have different types of testing, there is the ONS surveillance testing that shows is the level of infection within the population for a two week period. The last release of data showed 0.04% of the population has Covid which was a decrease in the period before. This is important and useful data on infection, no need to ignore it because it give us useful information, and you can comfortably draw from it that infections are dropping therefore so are deaths.

I've got a direct line to PHE. The epidemiologists don't give a shit about the case number as there are too many variables feeding into the system. The only real barometer they are going by is 7 day average deaths, which are also lower than they should be as people are also being treated more effectively. That's all you need to know. You can bounce around whatever theories you like about that, but they're not completely accurate. Sorry man.

Of course infections declining will lead to deaths declining, but the level of the stats we see can't be interpreted as straight. It's raw data you need. Infections did drop, but they're not currently doing so in any significant amount. Most places are at an r-value approaching 1 and will likely soon go over. The second wave won't be as high here, it's believed, but it's coming. For sure.

My online dating scene hasn't changed from normal times to lockdown, I still get next to no attention on there 😂
