I don't get all the hand wringing this time.  The press conferences are over, we're going to be allowed to the pub next weekend.  Sure, the crowds aren't ideal, but each individual has gone on their own.

I was considering going to the beach this week (admittedly a much bigger, less popular) one. Has anyone actually broken a rule, other than littering?

As someone who can walk to Bournemouth beach from my house I am staying in my garden! Yesterday people were parking all over the shop - blocking driveways, parking on pavements, blocking the cars from getting off the sandbanks ferry , jumping off the pier into the sea ( people have been injured doing this before) , not social distancing, camping overnight on the beach, gathering in groups up to 50 people, leaving broken glass and hot bbq’s on the sand and the council had to clear 33tons of rubbish. The the whole area was gridlocked, 11 mile queues and 100’s on the trains. So more than a bit of litter!

Yeah there's obviously been a massive cross over with Covid and politics with the daily briefings etc, but now that's done (for now at least) it might be nice to have somewhere to get covid updates without all the political stuff.  Just my opinion though.

I don’’t think they will get a second season, the first season had too many unnecessary deaths.

Better end soon, as Eavis is saying they'll go bust if they have to cancel again in 2021:

https://www.theguardian.com/music/2020/jun/25/michael-eavis-glastonbury-will-go-bankrupt-if-it-cant-be-staged-in-2021-coronavirus

If that were to happen, I do hope they'd consider a crowd funder (or whatever they're called)- I think a lot of people who have attended over the decades would be willing to donate money to keep them afloat (unless we're all also bankrupt by then too!)

There is so much love for the festival it will survive.

Imagine how many people would bung a few quid at it and how many bands would play for even lower or no fees.

I'm not hugely worried.

Israel. Nobody mentioned Jews.

So then you need to ask yourself: how come a state that didn't even exist when US cops started killing blacks is getting the blame for America's racism ;)

The difference in the number of new cases between England an Scotland is getting starker by the day. There were 5 new cases in Scotland today (been between 5-15 everyday for a couple of weeks) but over 1000 in England again. Even taking into account the size differential between the countries, that is a HUGE difference!! The virus barely exists in the general community up here now.

I went to the beach in Edinburgh and it was busy, but nothing like the scenes in Bournemouth and other parts of England. It will be interesting to see the trajectory between the nations over the coming months!

Have to quarantine anyone coming in from England.

What nonsense, he’s doing the best of any Labour Opp leader since Blair. He’s regularly showing up Johnson in the Commons and I believe slowly winning back support. If they got rid of him they wouldn’t win an election for another generation.

The "socialists" on that side would take years of Tory rule over a centre based Labout government I think 😔

GET HIM JOE

"If Donald Trump doesn't choose to end his senseless crusade against health coverage," @JoeBiden says, "I look forward to ending it for him.

.@JoeBiden lambasts President Trump: "He’s like a child who can’t believe this has happened to him. All his whining and self-pity. Well this pandemic didn’t happen to him. It happened to all of us. And his job isn’t to whine about it, his job is to do something about it."

It’s madness, as Starmer isn’t even a centrist. He’s just not a raving Socialist. They won’t do anything anyway, if he continues to perform and the party is winning support then they won’t.
