Any idea how that compares to this time last week?

We have a great dashboard for NI data, unsure if you have something similar across the rest of the UK:

https://app.powerbi.com/view?r=eyJrIjoiZGYxNjYzNmUtOTlmZS00ODAxLWE1YTEtMjA0NjZhMzlmN2JmIiwidCI6IjljOWEzMGRlLWQ4ZDctNGFhNC05NjAwLTRiZTc2MjVmZjZjNSIsImMiOjh9

For the 10th June (as my values today are really from yesterday, 17th June)

16 positive tests (1,231 people tested)
Deaths: 0 (we get quite a few days of 0 deaths now, although the 11th had 2 deaths)
9 in ICU
61 people in hospital

While looking for the above, I also noticed we have had just 1 hospital admission from Sunday onwards.

The shit show continues! Two u-turns in 2 days. Someone needs to overdub the lorry reversing beeps over Boris entering the Commons.

Good news though. Feel more confident in this than the shit show app we were faced with!

Could Raab’s Game of Thrones comment be designed to take attention away from this latest failure?

They're pretty good at divergent tactics...

Think it was more a case of being passive aggressive: conveyed his level of contempt/complete lack of interest in the issue while pretending it was just an accidental off the cuff comment.

I knew their app would be binned. They are so useless. Can we just have Tim Cook telling them what to do now please.

The moment earlier in the week when they got an ex-apple exec on board to take control you knew what would happen.   At least this *might* install more public confidence to use it.

I wonder if these briefings are still covered by parliamentary privilege, because if not I can see Apple calling the lawyers. The countries that started off by using a decentralised model don't seem to have hit this "Apple problem" and there were multiple articles written about the lunacy of the UK approach when it was first announced.

Hospital admissions up?

Marginally, but deaths still coming down.  http://covidtracker.uksouth.cloudapp.azure.com/ is handy for seeing that sort of data.

You hear stories of people coming out of ICU after 50 days so it could be that the long term ones who aren't really improving/getting better are the ones keeping the figures now at around 350

Version 1 of Apple's iOS app is dated 27th March 2020; this story from Forbes dated 12th April quotes Matt Hancocks own statement announcing the UK's app. He has just lied again to the entire country.

It's admissions though not total hospital numbers. Deaths are on a lag of course so I do think any increase in admissions is a slight cause for concern. Hopefully temporary blip.

Well we're 10-12 days on from the protests I guess - you can see a little rise in London cases so maybe that.
