So many of us are now in the position of having to do this .... I thought id start a thread to bring in all the discussion from other threads into one place .... This is a fantastic forum so now its time to help each other through this crap .... so if there is anything you need ... mental / physical or anything please post away ........  Neil feel free to move to another area of the site  but I think we can get the most coverage here ....

Yeah I’m ok thanks, just have a general anxiety about this all especially when hearing about Italy. I live on my own so I’m feeling a bit vulnerable if we do have to go into a lockdown.

Hope you are ok.

likewise ... I live on my own too ... have you got all the basics sorted ? like food and any medical essentials ?

Yeah I’ve got food for the week, I don’t stockpile and have popped to the supermarket this morning to get the weekly shop. I’ve got paracetamol in too. You sorted?

If only the virus would make my hair grow back in!  I long to look like a seventies Ian Gillan. ( deep purple lead singer for the younguns on here).  Meanwhile Mrs C is tending to the elderly and trying to keep sanitised and avoiding contact. She didn’t take too kindly to my suggested she visits the sheep dip in the field close to our house before coming home.

all good ... plenty of helpers too and many of them supermarket helpers too ..... some advice to people that are social distancing and cant get online delivery slots ...ive booked myself some click and collect slots but there is a bit of a wait .. 10 days or so at the moment ... ( this for asda ) Id recommend getting the earliest slots available and booking them as early as you can  because at the moment with the supermarkets closed overnight you will potentially get more of what you have actually ordered( including bog roll )  as it will probably get picked before the shop opens to the marauding hordes .... I will be letting them know when I arrive im social distancing and they will just load it into the bags I have in the back of my car ready ....

This. Through laziness and work I was a few weeks overdue a haircut anyway. I used to have long hair when I was younger. Looking back, it did not look good on me. I don't see that as having improved

The Aus PM just announced the first mandatory shutdown measures here. Pubs, clubs, gyms, churches, cinemas, casinos, cafes and restaurants - all shut from 1am UK time. Restaurants/cafes can run as takeaway or delivery services.

We can expect those measures to be in place for 6 months, apparently.

Stay strong everyone. It really is a tough time, I’m finding staying away from news as much as possible is the best things at the moment.

I’m finally reading the Glastonbury 50 book and it’s fantastic, it’s giving me a lot of emotional response. Some of it is just absolute sadness about this year, what a wonderful place it is. Anyway, as I was reading, I wondered if next year could be rebranded as ‘50 years’ since the first pyramid stage. It would be a massive shame to miss out on a celebration of the festivals longevity

Yeah. Every year I've bought a fresh hand sanitiser for Glastonbury (or whichever festival I go to that year), and afterwards I always throw it into my festival box. When I checked, I had 6 of them. Just the small bottles, but still.

Oooh I forgot about my Glastonbury 50th book! i also have two older ones that I haven't got round to reading yet either!

@Ozanne - yeh, I live on my own too. I'm not too worried about my physical health, but I am a bit worried about mental health. Took me a really long time to get out of bed this morning, as everything seems a bit pointless. Particularly as Glasgow is gloriously sunny for the first time in god knows how long.... However, finally managed to drag my sorry ass out for a 7k run and now I feel a wee bit better. I just think we all need to keep talking to each other when things get really tough.

Like to think I'm a manly man, however this morning shed a little tear with my wife with it being Mothers day n all, and not being able to see those wonderful humans that brought us into the world 😥 Alas I got over myself, but it definitely hit home what we're all going through.

Great idea for a thread though, and think only those with positivity, humour and kind words need apply.

...but at least the sun is shining ☀️ and I suggest getting out (within a safe distance from others obvs) and making the most of it. Just about to start planting up our veg patch up, will defo make the most out it this year! 🥕🍅🥔🥒

Look after yourselves xx

absolutely a definite need to stick to the positives on here ... Its a beautiful day in Somerset ... my folks have just moved into a new place and as they are social isolating too ... they are going to have an amazing garden at the end of it ..... although its not perfect ive been contacting my folks every other day ... and before i left it with much too long gaps ... tears are totally accepted and needed too

Glastonbury closing was sad. The end of June will be hard. But it's once a year usually, can hack a year off.

This no pubs thing is sending me bananas though. What the hell are we gonna do. I'm not even joking, it keeps overwhelming me. Probably just a combination of everything I'm projecting on to wanting a pint but it's all just a bit bonkers paper gay.

any way of changing it slightly if its part of a routine with mates ? do the same thing but via video link ? try to not completely neglect it because you will be thinking of it at that time ... maybe some kind of video game competition ? or online cards ? Im struggling with a dating / lack of dating concept at the moment and was really starting to get on well with a girl im working with ... will have to see what fate holds on that one ...
