I'm thinking that this time next year they'll have a fair chunk of unspent budget, from all the stuff they won't be having to spend on this summer. And I think spending on joyous stuff like live music will be appreciated to lift the mood of the nation, as well as help kickstart a repressed economy. Let's hope things have improved enough in year's time so that things are back to normal. I guess, I just can’t see it happening imo.

NickisGinger
Pretty sure it’s going to be in Coventry, quoted from the annual BBC report 17/18. Do not ask how I came on to reading it. Quote The BBC created new events like Contains Strong Language, a spoken word festival and Radio 1’s Big Weekend came to Hull. Conversations with Coventry City of Culture 2021 have started, building on the learnings from Hull. TheHungryMoomin
How likely do we think this is? Personally can't see it going ahead unless they push it back to late-Summer.
