With my holiday and now Glastonbury cancelled this summer I now have my eye on this not very little beauty.

Are you in Penrhos? We're on holiday in Rhosneigr and it's only £1.50 a pint of Mona!

Nah - sunny Leicester, grew up in Herefordshire and drank far too much penrhos & Jones #1 in my youth. It was brewed at Penrhos court by Terry jones  From Monty python fame.

Out of the years I’ve been going (only since 2015 but glasto is already a huge part of my life) this is the year when I’m probably best placed to cope with the cancellation. God knows how badly I’ve needed and relied on the festival in previous years, but this year I’m a better place mentally and maybe better prepared to deal with the disappointment. Silver linings? 😊

Profound apologies, I should be a better person and not find this funny.  In Sainsbury's earlier, couple in front of me were desperate for bogroll and the shelves had all been stripped.  The cashier said he thought there was some hidden in the storage area and asked another assistant to look. A few minutes later, said assistant appears with the precious pack of bogroll, and just before she hands it over to the couple... coughs on it.

Sorry

NZ visa extension approved yesterday, so at least I can stay in this beautiful country.

Also had a cracking night out last night for st Patrick's day, although currently hanging out my arse at work though. Not currently working from home.

Virus is definitely winning though.

Partners 30th birthday next Tuesday, we had a holiday booked to the Philippines. Partner was going to swim with whale sharks a day before her 30th, and it is one of the last things to do on her 30 before 30. Obviously the whole holiday has been canceled, but luckily, all flights and hotels have been refunded.

Called her sister and she said she would now fly out to see her, but now cant because she will have to self isolate for 14 days. That would be her whole time here!

Decided to buy tickets to Homegrown in wellington as that was the day we were due to fly, paid a little bit more for second hand tickets. Couple of days later, mass gathering restrictions came into play.

Also had the ballet booked on Friday for her birthday, but that's been canceled too.

I've got a plan for her actual birthday but it looks like that be canned too!

RTBC:
Based on several assumptions...like travel being (lawfully) permitted at the time and entry to the farm... I will still be going down to the farm come the end of June.

I'll just take a walk and a picnic, close my eyes and visualise what should have been.
Go see the Pyramid and become my own headline act for 10 minutes.
Say hello to some dairy cows.
Hike up to the stone circle and look down from the hill to where the thousands of multi-coloured tents should have been.
Feel the sun on my face, or the rain in my wellies. I won't care
Stroll down to the South-East corner and do some gurning.
Maybe bump into some like-minded strangers (keeping 2 metre separation) and sing a few songs and dance around like we've known each other for years.
Hand out some cider and share some home-brew flavoured spirits.
Sit under a pink umbrella.
Go spend some money down in Pilton.
Visit the Tor, the Abbey, Wells and a few of the stone circles and ley lines nearby that have always fascinated me spiritually.
Feel alive.

Feel free to join me 🙏

This is a bit of a selfish one but a big deal...The one thing I’ve just said to the girlfriend is that hopefully all these cancellations etc mean our wedding/honeymoon are fine in September.

My wedding and honeymoon is June. Not official yet but fairly sure it'll be cancelled. Good luck to you hope it all works out for September

That all sounds nice and jolly. Of course those who remain alive at that time may well find themselves in a Mad Max type world by then.

Some Positives

I won't need to quit my well paying job to go on my honeymoon

I'll have more months to loose weight for my wedding

I'll get to replan my honeymoon to be bigger and better when things are OK again to travel

I'll won't be able to eat out as much anymore so will go back to eating more healthy home cooked meals

* It's only 463 days until the gates open.

* Once all this isolation stuff is over the party is going to last for weeks.

* With an extra year to plan, 2021 is going to be the best festival ever.

* You've all saved over £500 on average on tickets travel and food. Buy yourself something nice.

Add yours below.

Saved? Hahahha

Still coming to England if Im allowed to do so in June. Might as well take the holiday and then be able to have a different holiday in 2021 with the festival.  If not able to travel, then I save.  Flights for 2021 will be easier to book  anyway because there will be deals for next year and airlines will take any business they can get at this point and for the next few months.

But yeah, england twice in a year would be cool. The gf will be fine with that.
