His temp is up and down though hasn’t gone back to the fever he originally had. The cough is still there and it just sounds horrible, once he starts it takes him a bit to control it. Defo better than he was on Friday/Saturday though. Thanks for asking Are you maintaining some kind of distance? Or do you feel like there's a high chance that whatever he has you will probably have too?
Guy Incognito
Pretty gutted by this. Was looking forward to returning to the farm but evidently it just isn't possible this year. I'm hoping that Le Guess Who?, End Of The Road and this proposed Primavera Sound postponement are all able to go ahead but it really is looking bleak right now. I'm pretty certain that both The Great Escape and BST (Kendrick day) will be scrapped. As others have said, I consider myself very fortunate to not have either my job/business or life in jeopardy but all these cancellations really are gutting. Hopefully our tickets get rolled over to 2021! Edited March 17, 2020 by Guy Incognito

reflekting
Tough day all things considered. First day working from home already feels like this is going to be difficult to last the duration. I should be glad as I have a very secure job that allows me the chance to carry on, but the glasto news has really knocked me for six. It feels like there is really nothing to look forward to now until life resumes back to normal. Hopefully you guys are finding some positive thoughts amongst the sadness.

People are dying FFS. People can hold more than one thought in their heads People can worry about more than one thing at once. I've had symptoms so I'm currently self isolating. Pretty sure I don't have it but your mind does go to some weird places. I made my peace with the festival cancelling a few days ago but I'll be fucking devastated when it gets confirmed

Dave_c
Sad news if this is confirmed officially tomorrow. I don't even have a ticket for this year but was hoping for some success in April. Absolutely gutted for everyone who already had their golden ticket!! It's an absolute shit show at the moment, all we can do is look after each other, ride it out and hope that life will be back to normal in the not too distant future

ModernMan
Is there a chance (don’t shoot me down here), that they may pull this too early? It’s very feasible that things would look a lot more positive in a month. And if they don’t, call it then? Perfectly understandable to push back balance deadline week until end of April. I understand there are a lot of moving parts but it just seems mad to cancel now three months away when others haven’t yet made the call. I know it’s a huge festival but I couldn’t bear the thought of cancellation, and then end of April things looking good, then into May restrictions all lifted etc etc. Maybe the meeting and subsequent announcement if it comes tomorrow will be a bit more than just “it’s cancelled”. Clubber Lang
As much as this is painful for those who have tickets (including me) it's the right thing to do. No one could have predicted the recent events, I for one was definitely in the 'NO' camp on the original, 'Corona Virus should we be worried?' thread - but things have definitely escalated in an unprecedented way. Glastonbury festival will survive, however there's thousands of people, thousands of businesses and people's livelihoods that won't survive and will suffer as a result of what's going on. Yes it's really disappointing, but try to stay positive for what you have. Hopefully everyone is ok health wise and can get through the tough times that will be ahead. I don’t think so, peak is maybe 10-12 weeks from now just before the festival, even after we peak there will be a lot of cases and potentially hideous stories about the NHS buckling and people dying because of it. The government have pulled support for emergency services which pretty much makes it impossible. The peak may even be later, we just don’t know. The government have also made a statement today regarding their measures being enough to trigger any policies that cover pandemics to pay out, that may or may not actually be true but if it’s taken at face value then now is the perfect time to cancel. They can potentially claim on insurance for some outlay they’ve already made and avoid wasting a penny more. There is also the issue of air travel being banned between here and the US, artists cancelling tours, and many of the high profile acts being well over the age that our government are suggesting should be staying indoors for four months. Bobs
I’m just really sorry for some of the amazing traders, some of them are just so talented and make Glastonbury, Glastonbury! To the Eavis’, I just hope that cancelling it, won’t set them back financially and there can be future festivals. I haven’t got a ticket, and obviously my bias opinion is, that it’s not the right thing to carry tickets on, you buy tickets for 2020, not 2021. I’ve been unfortunate enough to miss Glastonbury for the past couple of years, so I’d be somewhat disappointed if I couldn’t try again come October. But the reality is, people are dying, starving and people are losing their jobs due to COVID-19, and what happens with tickets isn’t a massive thing to me. However, if I’m lucky enough To get a ticket again or in 2021, I just hope some of the amazing independent traders who make Glastonbury amazing will still be there, and this virus isn’t going to hurt their business 🤞🏽

Well yes, they said it in a forum about a festival in a topic about a festival being cancelled? What did they expect to read? Especially as they were in it themselves? As well as social distancing is any discussion that isn’t about people dying banned? Is that all you’ve spoken about today?

Desthedanglybits
I can't believe this news, gutted beyond belief. Like many others, after my initial shock & disappointment I do believe it's the right thing to do & announce before all the trader pay their deposits. I expect official confirmation is on it's way. We don't know how bad things are going to get with this shitty Coronavirus, the landscape has changed so much in the last few weeks and we are told it's going to get much worse. We have to stay positive and look out for each other. Hope everyone stays safe & Healthy and what a party we will have in 2021, well that's my hope for now. How very dare we think about anything less important than the most important thing going on in the world? How dare you ever enjoy a meal while there's a war in Syria? How dare you give a bad review to an album when there's somebody somewhere listening to Coldplay?
