Still feeling grim, spent all day in bed, talking to my son online apparently lots of folk in my town have same symptoms over this weekend.  A mate dropped 2 weeks worth of catfood on the doorstep for me, so I'm sorted to wait it out.  I'd not panic bought or anything, but I'm one of those people who makes big batches of meals and freezes them and has 5kg of rice in the house anyway.  I'm sure it will be fine, thanks :)  I've got a half ounce of weed, half a dozen tabs of military grade acid and a gaming PC, should be ok to pass the time productively.

5kg of rice you say? Where abouts are you? (Asking for a friend) 😉 Lock your doors!

Yes, I’m well impressed by their organisation, I’m so happy I’ve a chance of getting to a festival this year, recommended for anyone..there’s still tickets

I have been too. Never been but I’m tempted to buy a ticket for me and gf. What’s the vibe like as a festival?

Been working with a bunch of freelancers today on a shoot and everything's getting cancelled for them. A whole bunch of gigs I was supposed to go to have been postponed. Films aren't getting release. Shops are empty. Government speeches getting worse.

I don't want to upset anyone and talk in resolutes as people back in the thread seemed to be crying about people doing that but today has killed off my hopes.

So you've heard from somebody inside the events industry that it's cancelled have you? For sure?

A friend of mine manages a band playing there and they've not been told anything yet. They're hardly top of the bill but they're regulars so unless they're telling headliners first it doesn't seem they've decided yet.

Grand National meeting called off following Government announcement.

Not looking good for any big event.

Think this is a bit of a red herring for potential summer festivals at the mo. The grand national is in two weeks time which is directly over the current measures from government.

I know Glastonbury is a huge undertaking, but I do think people are forgetting it is still three months away, things could be a whole lot different in a week or a month (for better or worse).

A decision won’t be made until they absolutely have to, and right now they don’t, however bleak it may look.

You know what’s really annoying, when the first stain of this thread broke out I’m pretty sure I and a lot of others said .. “Well, it’s irrelevant because if Glastonbury is cancelled we’ll all have much bigger things to worry about”

Which has come entirely true, but despite having bigger things to worry about it’s still bloody annoying

This is the bit that I think some people are finding it hard to grasp.

If you go back in time the same number of weeks you get to before Christmas, 2 weeks before China reported it's first case.

This is a reassuring read. How China's recovery shows us it probably won't be as bad as many fear:

The first thing I’ve read on the internet in days that has not made me shit myself more.
