Showing us your working on that

Total China deaths reported 3,199 From covid19  to date.

Italy just reported 368 deaths today from covid19

368 as a % of 3199 is 11.5%.

so Italy reported in 1 day 11.5% of the total deaths reported in China so far.

Could really do with an announcement from the festival giving us an update to their thinking (as many more have done).

I’ve accepted it’s not happening as much as I can, but the uncertainty is still killing me.

I imagine they will tomorrow when they know the governments plans, can’t imagine they want to say today we are still going ahead and then tomorrow having to back track and say it’s not happening 😕

They did, 3 days ago they released the lineup. Would you like hourly updates?

I leave you to draw your own conclusions.

I’m freely happy to admit I am terrified of the prospect of the disease spreading throughOut the world.

And yet again you seem intent on making other people panic too.

As I said to you yesterday, have a day off!

Well it’s just China is a massive country, but the virus mainly affected the Hubei province which coincidentally has about the same population as Italy. The fact that Italy has had 10% of the deaths in one day that China had as a whole, for me I don’t really know if that’s a good thing or a bad thing.

Right, its slowly changing course here regarding refunds except for a few festivals who are twats. Everyones just waiting for new date announcements so they can decide to get a refund or not. But most people will still want to attend a show if given the chance. The money has been spent, no need to get it back. I was going to see My Dad Wrote A Porno next week and of course it got the axe when the large gathering ban went into effect. Its being postponed to early September. Ill have been holding onto those tickets for over a year because of this since I bought them last July. Thats what hurts the most is having had to wait so long and then the rug got pulled out from under.

Ive already almost lost one festival, Im sure as hell not going to let this one slip by.

With international transport rapidly closing down and gatherings becoming persona non grata there may be little choice other than cancellation. It's the same for bands, artists etc who may choose to postpone or even cancel tours. The prospect of Glasto rescheduling to later in the year poses significant questions and has huge logistical obstacles. Postponement until September is frequently raised. I've been to the Pilton Party in September on numerous occasions and also done other festivals. Barmy summer evenings they are not: more likely cool, often cold and moist! There's also the issue of there being enough time for the land to recover before growth ceases for winter.

Haven’t been looking to panic folks, rather make them see the scale of what is coming so they can prepare.

Look after yourselves one and all and your neighbours, colleagues, friends and relatives in the days, weeks and months to come.

Wishing you all the best.

When this is over some are going to have a great career researching the pandemic. I'm wondering if there's any correlation between pre-existing lung damage and patient outcome?

I’m sure I read that lots of Chinese men smoke but woman mainly don’t, that might give some guidance. You’d have to assume there would be though based on how to works.
