Two door cinema club

Stereophonics

Frank carter and the rattlesnakes

Three decent shouts. I'm 100% certain Two Door Cinema Club will play.

They usually do a festival in Scotland when they tour so it seems strange they haven't been anconned for one.

SWG3 is a cracking venue

I’ve no doubt one of the rooms will be used as a dance venue hopefully the galvanisers room.

Al go for Supergrass,Stereophonics,Royal blood chase and status  and primal scream.

Oh come on now, is a 5k capacity venue really going to have names as big as many  in here are saying?

I'd say Phonics are the only ones you could definitely say that their size makes them unlikely.

They’ve had Foals, The xx, LCD Soundsystem and more at this venue in the last few years, all of whom are a similar size to most of the acts being suggested.

Looking at who’s around for August festivals, I’d like to see FKA Twigs, Idles, Robyn and Caribou as part of this, though some of those are maybe a bit too small. I agree with Supergrass, Two Door Cinema Club and The Libertines being very good shouts for this, I can see Rex Orange County playing too.

IDLES sold two nights at the Barras easily for the December shows so I think they're capable of giving it a go at the very least.

I'd say some good shouts here for sure. Came here to suggest Rex Orange County but someone already done it. Defo be some of the bands from R&L youd think so TDCC are another good shout.

Bombay played 2 nights at Barras and aren't at trnsmt so would also expect them. DMAs maybe too. Maybe Noel Gallagher.

Do we know any dates for this yet apart from August? Will it be later in August and have any Reading/Leeds crossover?

I think someone mentioned it could be up to 10 dates but not sure when

Any idea when they'll be announcing? Can't wait for it to be The Kooks and Wombats 🙃

Would guess monday.

Even if it is kooks and wombats there will be plenty more on the other days

It will be interesting to see what this actually looks like considering the failed attempt at moving Electric Fields there last year.

Tbh the full complex is perfect for a festival.

Surprised no one has thought about it before.

I wonder if The 1975 are lined up for this. An announcement on Monday would tie in with them playing The Hydro on Sunday night.

I would’ve previously said they were too big for a venue of this size but given they’ve played Glasgow 3 times in the last year and still have standing tickets available for their arena show on Sunday, it might be an ideal size for a sell out.

They're doing Edinburgh Summer Sessions in August
