That plus a guest appearance of Thom. I think that is my favourite gig ever. Edit: Plus I was watching it standing next to Seasick Steve. All things considered, it can't be topped. Wooderson
U2 Glasgow '15 -https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/u2/2015/the-sse-hydro-glasgow-scotland-63f536bf.html U2 shows have a tendancy to be a little "Cirque du Soleil" but this Saturday night show in Glezga felt bespoke and risky. Incredible venue for this tour also. Gillian Welch Dublin '11 -https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/gillian-welch/2011/grand-canal-theatre-dublin-ireland-2bd1ec4a.html Two of the greatest musicians and songwriters I saw this decade. A crying shame that theyve not been over here since. Wilco Belfast '10https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/wilco/2010/festival-marquee-belfast-northern-ireland-3bd5e49c.html Superb set up with a marquee - 2hrs40 mins. Hint of bullshit from them at subsequent gigs. This still felt raw and ambitious. Portishead EP '14https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/portishead/2014/stradbally-hall-stradbally-ireland-53ce6bc5.html Powerful, arresting stuff from the band. Jack White Dublin '12https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/jack-white/2012/the-o2-dublin-ireland-73dd4edd.html Halloween night show from Jack and the Peacocks. As mesmirising as it was fun. Carla Azar one of the most sublimely talented drummers i've heard play. Patti Smith Glasters '15https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/patti-smith/2015/worthy-farm-pilton-england-63c95237.html Life affirming show. One of the finest ive ever seen at the farm. Radiohead Glasters '17https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/radiohead/2017/worthy-farm-pilton-england-1be4fd70.html Career-high blend of sultry psych from the lads. I giggled hysterically at how courageous it was. Soz if you were in the vicinity. LCDSS Dublin '10https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/lcd-soundsystem/2010/tripod-dublin-ireland-5bd2bf5c.html One of the best crowds/gigs ive ever seen. At the time we thought it was the end and it was as if an MDMA fueled Talking Heads had just been beamed from the past into a small theatre in Dublin. Idles Dublin '18https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/idles/2018/button-factory-dublin-ireland-2396d84f.html Riotous and righteous. Not easy to channel positivity through aggression. These kids have mastered this tricky task. Biggest/maddest stage invasion ive ever seen. Fantastic. Pearl Jam Madrid '18https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/pearl-jam/2018/valdebebas-ifema-madrid-spain-2bebb8ea.html A triumphant trio of weather, technology and performance. Im not the biggest fan but wouldnt trade this experience. 2 1/2 hours of Zeppelin-sized chewnage. Started with "Release" which is prolly my fave of theirs. Mega. Springsteen Dublin '12https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/bruce-springsteen/2012/rds-arena-dublin-ireland-3dca1e7.html Maybe the gig of the decade for me. Flawless mastery from the best live performer who has ever lived. He is like a stadium diviner - knew exactly what we needed. Setlist was as rewarding as it was well rounded. The '12 big band at the peak of their considerable power - vintage summer from The Boss - every gig on the tour felt unique - will be looked back on in the future as one of his greatest runs. /fin 3

SwedgeAntilles
Top ten (cheating a bit mentioning two shows each for LCD and Radiohead but I've highlighted my favourite for each act). Looking back it's been a great decade for me seeing most of my favourite acts and them knocking it out the park. LCD Soundsystem (Glastonbury 2016 and Barrowlands 2017) Radiohead (Glastonbury and TRNSMT 2017) Paul McCartney (Hampden Park, Glasgow 2010) The National (Dalhalla, Sweden 2019) The Rolling Stones (Murrayfield Stadium, Edinburgh 2018) Basement Jaxx (Barrowlands 2014) Arcade Fire (Barrowlands 2013) Wolf Alice (Barrowlands 2017) Florence and the Machine (Glastonbury 2015) Chemical Brothers (Glastonbury 2015)
Quark
Strangely it's only really in the last 3 years I've got into going to gigs, mainly as it's only since then that I've embraced going solo and stopped worrying that no-one wants to see the same stuff as me! It's a mixture of great gigs and gigs that have just meant a lot or have a special place for one reason or another. Rough stab at it, not in order. Levellers - Glade, Glastonbury 2010 (also Brixton Academy 2011). Bit of a cheat having both but the Glade set had loads of stuff I'd not heard them do live before, and the Brixton gig was Levelling The Land in full on the 20th anniversary tour. Dub Pistols - Concorde 2, Brighton 2017. After a 3 hr drive back from a family funeral I was just back in time and made the decision to go. Dancing was truly cathartic. Chemical Brothers - Other, Glastonbury 2019. Best mate's first Glastonbury, got to watch an amazing set with him and a couple of other close mates. Perfect. IDLES - Brighton Dome, 2019. Immense, never felt so much love in a moshpit. Rolling Stones - Pyramid, Glastonbury 2013. Don't really need to say anything about that one. Black Sabbath - Download 2016. First festival with my brother seeing a band we both loved. Special stuff. Kolsch - Benicassim 2017. The set where I finally "got" dance / electronica as a live experience. Teleman - Lightbox, Vauxhall 2018. First play of their new material in a really interesting little venue (if you've not been there the walls and ceiling are all studded with LEDs so the whole room becomes a light show). As much about the venue itself as the band. Bear's Den - Brighton Dome, 2016. The first time I decided to just say the hell with it and go to a gig on my own. Started my love affair with solo gigging. Also happened to be a beautiful show that fitted the venue perfectly. Kylie Minogue - O2 London, 2018. And I'm not even going to apologise . First gig I'd gone to with Mrs Q, which was lovely, and the show was an absolute bangerfest. Coldplay - Pyramid, Glastonbury 2016. Again, no apologies. Amazing set, amazing show, and my brother in law finally got to see his favourite band at Glastonbury so was pretty special all round. Honourable mentions to Lionel Richie (Pyramid 2015), Chainska Brassika (absolute blast at 1am in Croissant Neuf 2015), Skinny Lister (Brighton 2017), Radiohead (Pyramid 2017), Slow Readers Club (Brighton 2019).
