It's the song none of us knew we needed, a sequel to Jessies girl by coheed featuring the man himself Rick Springfield. Had this on loop over the weekend, think it's great fun especially Ricks verse

I've gone from mild appreciation to moderate obsession of this in the space of 12 hours.

Anti-Colonial Queer Punk band Screaming Toenails released their debut at the end of July and its great, you have to stomach some samples of a Priti Patel speech though at points. Sample below

Hadn't heard of these guys at all, me likey. Good call

OK, these are definitely new :D

New tracks from Olafur Arnalds, one from a few weeks ago and one from yesterday. Won't allow the first one to embed for some reason, copyright maybe. Anyways, one really simple piano tune and one collaboration with JFDR.  More of his usual chilled piano loveliness. Plus new album coming in November.

New Clipping, new album on the way. Feels like the last one just came out and that was great so looking forward to this. Was wondering if they'd end up gaining any popularity after spotting yer man in Hamilton but seemingly not

Had no idea that Daveed Digs was in Clipping, that's wild.

Fully expect to be in the minority on this one, but the solo album from James Dean Bradfield is great.  His voice is so distinctive it was always going to sound a bit like a Manics album, but apart from a few tracks that are straight out of their playbook it's different enough for me.

If you like the Manics, worth a listen.  If you don't, I'd probably not bother as it's not sufficiently different to change your mind.

I'd consider myself a very casual Manics fan, to the point that this solo album had passed me by until now, I'll give it a listen.

I love James Dean Bradfield's voice so will give it a go.
