 I’d forgotten about that. It wasn’t empty but the crowd was sparse enough that I think everyone was close enough to hear him loudly.

Very enjoyed Joe Gideon's new one, bought myself a ticket to go see him in a couple of weeks. Just found out his drummer is the Bad Seeds percussionist as well which I think is neat.

Haven’t seen any love for the new Dan Deacon album. Another fantastic album from him if you’re into glitchy electronica. 

Also really enjoying the new TORRES album. Especially Good Grief and Good Scare.

I have to say I'm with Swedge. As opening salvos go, the first weeks of 2020 have seen some cracking releases.  Really enjoying what's coming through so far.

HMLTD's full debut album is every bit as bonkers as you'd hope it would be. Apparently their live shows are loads of fun. This has convinced me to find out for myself next weekend in Brum:

I think I need to wake up a bit before giving this a go but looking forward to it.

 

If anyone is looking for a soundtrack to their first coffee of the day the new John Hopkins track is perfect
