Seeing Avengers: Endgame on opening day was a special moment and felt like being part of cinema history, but I thought Joker was an outstanding movie and best overall.

TV Show:

I'm gonna go full on dweeb and pick AEW Dynamite. Feels like being 10 years old again and watching a better version of Nitro. 

Book:

I don't think I read any new books this year other than the Glastonbury one, so I'd say the best thing I read all year was Gil Scott-Heron's The Last Holiday.

@dentaIpIan - I always enjoy reading what he has got to say, mainly because he seems to have a good knowledge of everything.

Yeah that's a really gripping film as well and so much stronger than any other recent horror that I've seen. I'm looking forward to Ari Aster's next piece of work but in the meantime I might have to dive into some of the short films if I can find them online.
