Padjeq
Album: amo - Bring Me The Horizon Song: Gone by Charli XCX/Christine and the Queens. Song convinced me Charli can be great, and Christine could be the biggest star on the planet. Glastonbury Set: The Cure. Absolutely rapt throughout. Non-Glastonbury Gig: The 1975 @ Birmingham Arena. Maybe best arena audience I've ever been in. People jumping all the way to the back of the floor. There was a proposal in the crowd which Matty brought attention to and then had to abandon so he could get the seas to part and retrieve a crowd member with a suspect broken leg from the pit. Film: Midsommar. Gather the family and put it on xmas day afternoon if you haven't seen it. TV Show: Succession Book: This Storm by James Ellroy Game: (For those who play them) Call of Duty Modern Warfare eFester of the Year 2019: I'm new here. I'll just say everyone. Both had some great moments but could feel like a slog at times. I want Ellroy to go back to the style he had in The Cold Six Thousand, where the words popped, and the clipped nature of his sentences meant he could convey story and character quicker without getting bogged down in description. It's worth reading but doesn't compare to American Tabloid or the LA Quartet. Only put it as my favourite because I only read about 6 books from 2019 in 2019. Although I remember now that Book Of Dust 2 was actually better.
baggie92
Album: Lana Del Rey - Norman F****** Rodwell Song: The Chemical Brothers - No Geography Glastonbury Set: The Cure, was in awe at how good they sounded. Non-Glastonbury Gig: Foals @ Digbeth Arena in Birmingham. Such a cool venue, not massive either. Band were so good. philipsteak
Album: Yola - Walk Through Fire Song: Too hard to choose Glastonbury Set: Kylie Non-Glastonbury Gig: London Hughes at Latitude. Genuinely in pain from laughing. Both at her, and the constant horrified look on the face of the mother with two young daughters sat near us Film: The Farewell TV Show: Chernobyl. Although if Watchmen sticks the landing, it might be that Book: Glastonbury
HeyPorter
Album: Sharon Van Etten - Remind Me Tomorrow Song: Vampire Weekend- Harmony Hall (Seventeen a close No:2) Glastonbury Set: Sharon Van Etten Non-Glastonbury Gig: Idles @ Albert Hall Manchester Film: Joker TV Show: Watchmen (would’ve been Chernobyl but am finding Watchmen mind blowing right now) Book: The Walking Dead (does a comic count? Certain scenes seemed so out of the blue, it left me bamboozled. I therefore recommend to people reading about The Manson Murders before viewing. I found knowing the history it was set helped with the viewing. I found I spent the whole film expecting one thing to happen and it then everything is thrown on its head at the end much like Inglorious Bastards.
