I thought they had contracts until 2030 with the neighbours unless I am just making that up in my head? I am sure Michael said 12 years? On the other hand when I read Emily’s bits in the book she sounded like it might come to end soon?

I don't think it's that long but the contracts in place will be on the basis of the festival actually happening.

If this were announced, i have no doubt that i would be thousands of pounds poorer as i would be buying a ridiculously priced hospitality package in order to be there. As it is i am sat here waiting for resale day in the vain hope of bagging a regular ticket to G50.

Bad luck with various risks materialising could bring at all to an end:

- bad weather on consecutive years resulting in cancellations

- contract disputes with neighbours

- licensing issues

Maybe the organisers would just want to stop.

I don’t think next year will be the last but I accept the festival no longer running is a possibility. I’d be fine with it.

If it was to happen the Pyramid would surely get Listed or World Heritage status.
