For you maybe- for anyone with any kind of mobility issues mud is a nightmare, so serious that it can completely make or ruin their festival.

The entire running of site becomes near impossible beyond a certain level of mud- vehicles get stuck and everything is churned into quagmire. It also takes the site far longer to recover and the cleanup is horrendous.

I don't argue with that and yes, this is from a personal point of view, but I struggle massively in the heat to a point of making me ill. I could do the festival in the weather we have now. 5 degrees and raining. It wouldn't bother me.

I would never pick for it to rain or for it to be muddy by choice. 2017 had decent weather apart from the Wednesday. Not too hot, not too cold and no rain.

If it's a choice between 5 days of rain or 5 days of 30 degrees. I'll take the rain in a heartbeat.

Just wondering, do you ever go on holiday to warmer climates?  It sounds like you really struggle with it.

Oh and sod doing a festival now! :-)

I'd prefer if it wasn't too hot myself- ideally say 20-25C with a mix of sun and cloud. Overcast is fine- just prefer sun to pissing rain and mud!

Not really! The only holidays in the sun I have done since I was a kid are ibiza (a lot). The time was spent either, in a club, in air conditioned bar / room, the odd hour around the pool (cool off in that) & staying in the room getting smashed.... I saw very little sun & when I did I have a pool and air conditiobed  to cool off in, if there were those at Glastonbury, I would find it easier.

My other holidays abroad have been city breaks. Madrid, Munich, Brugges (all in December), Dublin, Prague, Barcelona, Amsterdam,  Frankfurt, Milan in October..

The only time it's been really hot was Frankfurt. That was a killer.
