Florence and the Machine were in the "British Female Solo Artist" category at this Brits this year, how does that work?!

They've nominated her in that category a few times now.  Back in the early days when NME done the same thing she said 'don't forget about the machine' but now doesn't seem to mind!

I believe the machine is largely the same parts as it's always been too?

Over on Reddit someone has said they know of a "big / slightly left-field act confirmed but still not mentioned" - not a headliner.

In answer to "is it a pop star?" they said "Hmmmmm. Kinda. You’re warm, but not very. ?"

Also referred to them as "an act (or type of act) that they hadn’t yet considered or seen rumoured, make people think outside the box a little more"

"I hope the vague clues were fun or interesting for some people. IMO it’s worth being excited about, purely as it’s a brave booking and something the festival has never (to my knowledge) ever done before..."

Apparently they work at Universal Music so likely to be someone signed to them.

Initial reaction: KPop.

Pondering: Gaga Vegas Show.

Overthinking: Cirque du soleil Love show with McCartney playing live + holograms.

The Machine is actually the keyboard player in the band 'Florence & The Machine', Isabella Summers. She formed the band with Florence.

The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra are currently touring with Elvis Presley (or videos of him at least) and some of his band members.

Michael is a big fan. Would go down a storm before Diana Ross.

Playing gigs in July in the uk

Actually think this is a pretty good shout. Could see him on the pyramid mid-afternoon. I think he would get a pretty decent crowd too, and from his perspective a great opportunity to broaden his fan-base. The Sunday picnic crew would be all over it.
