It used to be a tradition of mine that the Slave To The Rhythm cassette would always get an airing on the drive to the festival.

Ladies and Gentlemen, Mr Ian McShane.

What's all this? We'll have no trouble here.

Really hoped that the Sunday '07 (I think) appearance of Bill Bailey in the T&C fields, right after the main headliners had finished, would become a regular comedy legend spot ("Put the umbrellas down!")..

T'was not to be.

We've had ballet, brass band, classical. We've had Archaos (sp), acoustic and beatbox.

So, I've no idea.

I was going to say a cartoon band, but Gorillaz tick that box, in a way.

left field, 'kinda pop' universal music group - interscope.

The recent MCR reunion?

No way. Theyre rumored to be doing Milton Keynes.

“is it pop?” “Kinda” cause you would never think Kpop right? Blackpink would go on Pyramid at what, 4pm? Since They had Babymetal last year, might as well go full throttle now! At least its not BTS, that would show you a new level of sneaking in and the wall sentries would be working overtime.

You seem to missing key points on these clues, they're pop(ish) and a Universal act. Most of the names that are being said for these aren't on Universal. It could be someone like Andrea Bocelli as he's not pop but has worked with popstars (e.g. Ed Sheeran, Dua Lipa etc)  for certain songs and is on Universal plus he's an unusual(ish) booking and (as far as I know) hasn't been mentioned anywhere. Either that or potentially Bryan Adams who kinda falls into the grey area between pop and rock and is also on Universal.

I dont think pop acts are slightly leftfield. This suggests to me it's not a chart act the normal description.

A musical production /  Hans Zimmer / Hugh Jackman / Ru Paul. They would all fit.

"something the festival has never (to my knowledge) ever done before..."
