"Big / slightly left-field act confirmed"

Over on Reddit someone has said they know of a "big / slightly left-field act confirmed but still not mentioned" - not a headliner.

In answer to "is it a pop star?" they said "Hmmmmm. Kinda. You’re warm, but not very. ?"

Also referred to them as "an act (or type of act) that they hadn’t yet considered or seen rumoured, make people think outside the box a little more"

"I hope the vague clues were fun or interesting for some people. IMO it’s worth being excited about, purely as it’s a brave booking and something the festival has never (to my knowledge) ever done before..."

Apparently they work at Universal Music so likely to be someone signed to them.

I haven't got a clue but surely the eFest hive mind can figure it out (or at least have some fun guessing).

We've had ballet, brass band, classical. We've had Archaos (sp), acoustic and beatbox.

So, I've no idea.

I was going to say a cartoon band, but Gorillaz tick that box, in a way.

Hologram?

Hans Zimmer? Thats my guess

I'd fucking love that.

Would be even better for people to be randomly walking by and suddenly trip out when hearing music from Inception and thinking the world was closing in on itself!

It's a pants clue really because I wouldn't consider any act left field for Glastonbury. I'd probably lean to it being a cheese rock type act, maybe something like Aerosmith playing lower down, Whitesnake or something like that. They don't have a record for booking cheesy 70s/80s rock so that's where I'd put my money. Weren't Def Lep mentioned before?

Whitesnake, Foreigner and Europe are on tour.
