studies going well then ? :) those virtual drinks seem to be stronger than the real things :)

No, it's going terribly! I thought I'd get so much done this weekend and somehow I haven't done anything...and now i'm too hungover to think! Massive fail.

I am so hungover.

Arranged some virtual pub drinks with a group of mates from sixth form (and tried not to think about how long ago it was that we were actually in sixth form). I thought it might be a bit too confusing with so many of us and only intended to stick around for an hour, but it was actually really fun. We got a collaborative spotify playlist on the go too. Two bottles of wine and some Henry Weston's later and it's suddenly 3.30am. What the hell.

The stupid thing is, we're always saying we never get a chance to hang out together (we all moved away from home, one as far as NYC) but we could have done that at any time.

Strangely enough I first started going to the Glastonbury Festival so that I could hook up with mates who had all left Birmingham. It was the one time that we could all be and live together for a few days, away from 'normal' lives - and restraints.

Hope you are over your hang over.

I hope everyone's stocks are OK at this time of self-isolation.

Slim to none!!! Get paid tomorrow though so might go online shopping for essentials 🙂

Don't worry grumpy, we're all economically proficient on here, and know only too well how to play a downward spiralling market*

* - That may well be an analogy for my life.

How is the market downward spiralling when demand is soaring?

Went for over a fortnight without any alcohol, firstly due to shift work and then the pubs shutting. Unheard of for me.

Demolished a bottle of wine in about half an hour when I got home from work in the early hours of this morning.

Intend to do the same after this shift ends.

    • We head out in the morning. Couple of nights in New York then up to Boston. Enjoy the games lads and hopefully we get some great football to take our minds off the whole shitshow off the pitch.
    • White Stripes/QotSA at Harewood 2007, Tramlines (and Blue Dot, same weekend) in '23, and Elbow at Jodrell Bank '13.
    • Yeah exactly, the shock moments, group layouts, etc all end up playing out differently once you get into the tournament. However you tweak it, you don't predict shocks.
