Mrs b has been known to excitedly point out ‘celebrities’ to me at Glasto - inevitably I won’t know who they are as I don’t watch soaps/reality shite

I have that thing where I don't recognise faces out of context - or even in context sometimes. If you change your hair or something significant, I won't register you. I have to actively seek faces.

I'd blame that for my lack of Eavis spots but his look is overwhelmingly consistent.

To stay on thread, once, as I was perusing the leftfield line up one morning, I mumbled to myself "Wtf is this act I've never heard off", or similar, only to have someone behind me state they they were a socialist folk band from somewhere who did a lot of gigs for something or another.

I got chatting to Dick or Dom and his mates trying to get in the rabbit hole a few years ago.

I thought mine were quite sparse but back to back it feels a few.

What are peoples thoughts on approaching the celebs?

I generally will point them out to mates, but i've never spoken with any. I've always thought if i was in their shoes i'd want to be left alone to enjoy the festival.

It's a no from me. I'm sure some are more likely to court a bit of insta-selfie attention than others, but I wouldn't have a clue which ones and chances are I wouldn't spot them anyways.

The few I've spotted over the years just look like they want to be there to have a good time like the rest of us, so I leave them in peace.

The only exception was Don Letts, and that's just because I walked straight into him and just stopped before I bowled straight through him. Lovely man.
