Everyone undersells Coachella. I know in recent years it’s gone a bit commercial but it’s history is rooted in some of the most forward thinking music out there.

It’s just followed the same path as most festivals - reflecting the current music market and who is around.

Lets not forget that not that long ago Coachella was putting out lineups that put even glasto to shame.

It would be awesome if they came back with new material, spurred into action by the current political and social climate. If not and they’re cashing in for a third time, fuck off and don’t bother.

It doesn't look likely they will have new material, between Tom Morello's solo stuff and Prophets Of Rage they wouldn't have had a chance to do anything yet.

Whilst I agree with what you're saying at least the second time was more selflessly motivated as they wanted to celebrate their xmas no 1 with a free show even if the other shows they did at the time paid well.

Coachella gig suggests the latter. I’m happy though I’ve never seen them
