Entering busy prediction territory next week with 18 nominations in total including coverage on both days of the weekend. Reasonably quiet in this thread the week just gone compared to last but with March now in play can see it getting pretty hot again

Apologies if I have missed anyone off, let me know if you need adding

Every other festival are announcing their lineups.  Why Would Glastonbury Be any different?

It wouldn't, but not every other festival has a 50+ page thread dedicated to people whipping themselves up into a tizzy about glastonbury maybe being cancelled.

Do you think it's because a headliner has dropped out.

And do you think it's to early for the lineup to be dropped.

I highly doubt a headliner has dropped out but it’s not impossible.

If you have a look at this website - https://theglastonburythingy.weebly.com/when-does.html - it gives you a list of previous announcement dates so you can kind of make your own assumptions from that. However, last year the first poster was released 15th March, and that was around two weeks earlier than the previous earliest poster drop I think? So realistically we’re at least two weeks away from the lineup.
Anything could happen though.

Ooooohhhh I didn't even think about that. Although isn't it something weird like April 5th?

It’s the 6 April but that is for personal tax. Companies can make up accounts to when they like but Glastonbury do make them up to 31 March so I assume this is for tax reasons. You can look at lots of this stuff on companies house if you are so inclined

Glad that one passed me by... the disappointment of seeing that there was an announcement, but then realising it was something so insignificant would have slayed me.

It was the day after the first poster to be fair so an easy one to miss. I can’t remember exactly why they were announced on their own but there must have been a reason behind it, even if it was just that they’d forgotten to include them with the main poster.

It was a weird one, the day after the lineup came out, felt more like they'd forgotten to include them. The link I've got on The Thingy just takes you to an NME article about the lineup and they're included on the bottom of the list.

I believe that more specifically, it's to do with the VAT paid on the tickets vs the festivals outgoings - opening balance payments on April 1st puts the bulk of the income and the bulk of the expenditure in the same VAT quarter which helps with liquidity.

So info on Charli and Dua Lipa seems to have leaked out this weekend. Are we heading for a poster drop this week and those bits have leaked out a few days early?

3rd March 😎

What was the info on Dua Lipa?

I love that Michael is down as a farmer on his director’s listing.
