I think this is where they'll place. They'll have a 3rd album out, huge following, would be brilliant.

Would you say a headline JP slot is bigger than a headline Park slot? Idles on Park this year was one of my favourite sets ever. Sincerely hope they're back to headline somewhere next year!

Frank Carter & the rattlesnakes surely a strong possibility for JP next year - new album out this year which I think has been generally well received, touring next year including a gig at Ally Pally, and have had a year off from the festival (and have subbed Foos in the interim). They'd be high on my wishlist!

They're supporting Greenday in Europe too next year (but not the UK).

I think they will be - finish touring in December. New album already being worked out, few months off and back again for festival season.

In regards to the Park vs. JP - I'd say it's about perception. Capacity wise it's The Park (I think), but I remember having a discussion here with someone and the next logical step seemed to be the JP.

Yeah see I'd be more inclined to say a headline Park set would be bigger, but that's probably because I tend to prefer Park as a venue. I hope they do some work this year on JP - I thought the sound needed some work last year

JPT holds about 10K does it not? No way the main Park field holds that.

That's cool - they're really doing bits at the moment then. Wonder if Greenday are a possibility? I don't even know how i'd feel about it if they were!

Green Day extremely unlikely due to their tour dates (they'd end up doing like 4 days in a row or something).

++ if they were get them up on the pyramid where they deserve to be!

Or meet in the middle at the Other Stage.

Kind of - it depends what measure you use and the festivals view probably won't be the same as a fan would see it-

In terms of the number of people who can get a decent view and hear the act clearly, the JP is (much) bigger.

In terms of the number of people who can safely fit in the area, and use the access routes, The Park is bigger.
