Such a shame that yano, hopefully it’s a double bluff. As a scouser I’m gutted I’ve never seen him because we see and hear so much of their legacy all of the time, possibly every day. All you’ve got to do is walk through Liverpool city centre and everywhere you look you’ll see some form of nod to the Beatles. Would love to see him play next year.

surely there must be a longer McCartney thread ?

the amount of threads on this chat that are now very similar is awful...needs a clean up/locking of some.

plus the incredible amount of threads that are nothing to do with festivals let alone glastonbury!

Really? Saying that you hope someone is too old to play? What a horrid thing to say. Upvote it if you will, but the post was sly. Not concerned about anyone's taste, just decency. You've got a skewed perspective.

From what I've seen/heard of his more recent shows, his voice tends to start a bit weak, but gets much better quite soon.

All that's completely irrelevant though. We'll all be singing along with him, every step of the way*, the greatest songwriter of the rock & roll era, playing the greatest back catalogue out there for one very emotional last time.

*apart from the ones off the newer albums
